Jeep Grand Cherokee L Fire TV Accessibility

I ordered a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit on January 4th of this year (still in the scheduling phase for anyone that's curious. probably won't come in until April). At that time there wasn't an option to add TVs to the back seats but I've been reading that the ones that do come with TVs (as well as the passenger TV) come with Amazon Fire TV built in. In addition, the main display also comes with Fire TV and can be used while parked. I was wondering, if anyone knows- do the Jeeps that don't have any TVs also have Fire TV built into the main display? Does this come standard on all Jeeps or only the Jeeps that have the additional TVs? I know you can't use it while driving but I thought it'd be a pretty cool feature to take advantage of while in the parking lot; like when my wife's at Target and I don't wanna go inside with her. lol

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

The easy alternative, although it wouldn't be controlled by the console if that's important, would be to get an off the shelf tablet, either with a GSM plan, or using your phone as a hot spot, to get access to all of the same channels, without commitments for other data plans or services. It's just a question of whether to occasional use of console control is worth all of the added overhead.

yeah i have my phone with all of that setup already, so i can definitely use that as well. i was just curious if it were possible to do that on the main display because it'd be a pretty cool feature to utilize.

Fire TV apparently comes only with the Rear-Seat Entertainment package.
There are numerous Fire TV tablets available, from ~$50 to around $150 for full HD. It looks like they stopped offering them with cellular plans, but they can use a mobile hot spot. iPads and other Android tablet are also available with data plans. There are also many after market headrest mounts.

It does not come with Fire TV. I have the two row Summit reserve and it does not have that App on the screen. U connect says it is not capable of getting it. Just got off the phone with them.

If you want plug and play full android touchscreen os on your main screen. It’s a little pricy but you can watch Netflix on the main screen while parked (or not parked)

Ordered 1 today. Now I own 2 fire sticks and 5 rokus including the home ;)
LOL - that pretty much equals the number of units I have.

BTW, I integrated a Fire Stick into my previous BMW X7. That vehicle had a Rear Entertainment System, a DVD-Player, a HDMI-port but no streaming-option so I used the HDMI port and the integrated hotspot to bring the entertainment-system to life.

Just in case anybody is curious what I did since the integration on the Jeep will be almost identical:
