I’ve reached out to my dealer as well as Jeep support with this question/concern. Can you really not select a temperature, enable heated features or heated/cooled seats through the phone app with a remote start request? Can’t believe it wouldn’t be a thing as it was on the uconnect systems and also that cars well under half this price have capabilities to do so…very disappointing if this remains to be the case

I couldn't even do the mentioned things with the remote app on my $120K BMW. I have to agree though that the current app is very limited. They should at least add things like a tire pressure display, oil life or a timer for the remote start etc.

It’s crazy cause on a 2018 high altitude grand Cherokee I could do anything and now we can’t even set the temperature. I’ve had the automatic seat features enabled but those have yet to kick on with any remote starts yet

And being that I live in the Midwest, knowing I won’t be able to pre warm my vehicle or have it being to melt snow/ice from the glass and mirrors is annoying

You should be able to remote start. Jeep support said other features would be released later. Figured it would be done by now but I guess they’ve had bigger problems to solve first. One guy on the forum said a bunch of stuff showed up for him but I never saw it.

Yeah I can just do a basic remote start but with no control over temperature it seems kinda pointless besides warming the engine. Hopefully they expedite the additional options as it’s starting to get quite chilly 🥶

just keep the auto climate control set to 70 or something and the car will warm up inside

The seat warmer and steering wheel warmer only go on once the temperature drops below a certain point. I believe it is 40 degrees

When you remote start you can set it to to auto heat or vent the seats based on outside temperature.

I don't see the point in the app, I think it's silly and does everything the key fob can do. I'll never use the phone app.
