Jeep connect up for renewal

Got emails from Jeep connect that my account is finally expiring. I won’t be renewing it until they fix the issues with not being able to see fuel/health/etc…

Not going to pay $15 for a key fob in my phone. The app tech services people have replied a few times to me and finally said it’s not available for my vehicle yet. How long does it take I bought it in July of 21? Or am I not a prized Overland/Summit customer with just my Altitude pkg? 10 year old Chevy 1500 technology I had was better than this.

Agree, GMs OnStar is by far the best on the market, and has been for years. I also received an expiration notice. I won’t be renewing for a year, but will probably pay for it monthly for a couple more months. I’d like to have it for starting my GCL after work, and the fob won’t reach from where I’m located in the building, to where I park.

The renewal process is annoying. I just went through this myself. There is no way to renew online and I had to call the phone number provided. I talked to someone with a thick accent that was difficult to understand. He was supposedly from their Connect Services “sales staff”, but didn’t seem to know much about the services available. He asked me how I wanted to pay for it and I reluctantly gave my credit card info over the phone. I also kept him on the line while I refreshed my Jeep connect webpage to ensure the services were added back. At first it only said “activation pending”. I told him he needed to go back again and try activating again. After a few minutes he figured it out and it now said active on the webpage.

When I tried it, the app just spun when I tried to remote start the vehicle, so I then had to go start the vehicle from inside it and turn it off. That seemed to sync everything back up and it works via the app again.

Jeep Connect is a joke right now. Many features do not work until you have a telematics update at the dealership. My trial expired while my SR was in the shop for several weeks so the app never worked properly on trial. When I received my car back over the weekend the app no longer works at all. It is extremely frustrating over the lack of customer service offered on these vehicles that were not ready for prime time. Does @JeepCares really care about any of this?

Ford connect worked pretty good. Never had any issues and it’s included in the price of the vehicle . No monthly fees unless you want the hotspot for the vehicle.

I’m now getting the same message on my app too. My plan expired 1st week of March but I was still able to access the app. I wasn’t able to remote start, lock/unlock, etc but still be able to access it and view recalls, service history, access manual, etc

So I’m wondering if this is a temporary message

I just sold my GCL and had my subscription canceled but I was still able to go into the app and see information. I think you would still have access to it, but just no remote services or active services that you could use. The information I saw was a reduced version of the full active subscription.

Yeah, I used to see same reduced version too. But now I’m still seeing just “Activation of Service in progress”
