Hypothetically can someone explain why the rear driveshaft would come apart

Hypothetically, how would

"the rear drive shaft was coming apart. All the bolts from the shaft to the transfer case are missing." Transfer case was replaced in Spring 2022.

Just like... perhaps, someone with more car knowledge than me. Hypothetically. How could that even happen.

Improper torque, no thread locker = lazy tech
