Hitch cover replacement

I have a 22 Limited coming any day now. Yes, it won’t have the receiver and wiring, but, will as soon as the dealer can get one. At every test drive and the demo at the Chicago Auto show this weekend, I removed the OEM cover using those two twist tabs underneath. Needless to say, this is not a very user friendly process. While I would prefer to leave it off and put a custom insert in the hitch, there is plenty of black structure exposed and It does not look good. I am considering a step to maybe fill the gap. Any idea how wide the gap is? Also, if anyone has any leads for a custom cover. Thanks

i've got an overland that has the hitch.. Removing the cover is quite simple... Not sure what a custom cover will really accomplish other than draining your wallet. Anywho... the gap is 21 1/2" wide
