That's how it works when you don't have auto high beams. Turn the knob to the 'on' position.

That’s apparently how all of them are. We noticed the same thing and when you turn the lights “on” instead of auto, the high beams work. It’s a strange design choice that I hate and don’t understand.

Hopefully they will come up with a programming change ? This is the only car I’ve had where you can’t have high beams when the switch is in the auto position. Including four other Jeep’s owned previously. Thanks

I think you have to have the control arm for the lights pushed forward for the automatic high beams to work. It should tell you on the display that it is turned on.

Maybe it depends on which model you have, I have the limited......it may not have the auto high beams on the Loredo or Altitude??

There are a few threads about this problem. On vehicle that have the automatic lights, but not the auto sensing high beams, the glitch is present where if the lights are in the auto position, nothing happens when you move the lever to switch....

Could be true but I would be happy to have them work manually as long as I can keep the main headlight switch on auto.

I just got off the phone with my dealership scheduling the UConnect software update, and I was informed during that call that an update to correct the high beam problem was released today, 10/21/21.
