Hi, New GCL owner Tx

2021 GCL Overland v8 with all the Tech etc:

for the love of my sanity.... Please fix the Electronics! Please... omg.
have owned several Jeep's (wrangler/grand cherokees) and the electronics in the new GCL are driving me crazy. Please fix the issues.
If i goto store and come back home my phone will work (typically) but if i get back in my car like 20 minutes later and go somewhere it is a crap shoot if my phone will connect (it is almost like the radio is hibernating and the cached memory is corrupt, dhcp does not work for the wifi car play and phone will show connecting on radio) a restart of the radio fixes the issue.
If i start my GCL with fob (the old jeeps would warm or cool depending on weather) the new GCL it is hit and miss on heat/cool... driving the highway the AC will go on and off unless it is set to sync...

yes i am a random typer and my first post, just know i like the GCL and all the goodies but...
Please fix the Electronics. I am begging you.

What do you mean by the A/C will go on/off? There was an issue reported on the gladiator and wrangler forums where the A/C was intermittent and would blow warm air sporadically. It turned out to be intentional. The system was bringing in fresh air every so often for whatever reason. Don't recall the fix but I know there ended up being a TSB on it. Perhaps that's your problem.

As for the rest of your issues... yup lol. I have heard the systems are very buggy still. Keep tabs on TSBs for the vehicle and look for software updates and or other troubleshoot. And please, make sure you contact your dealer and get them logged! They won't fix if they don't now. Get JeepCares involved too. When they do the issue is often escalated to STAR techs who can actually troubleshoot and get resolution.

Hey you're the first person I have seen post a similar experience I have with the phone connectivity after a short period off\away. Glad I'm not crazy and it isn't just me. I'm almost at the point of giving up on wireless Android Auto, which was a huge selling feature for me.

yes. i have also had it disconnect while driving to dallas... had to restart radio to resolve, i tried usb before restart and still would not let phone connect. i have the latest update on phone. the older uconnect worked great. i really like the vehicle, i just really would like the electronics to work like previous uconnect. i never had an issue with uconnect in previous, please look at the old and make the new work same.

Sounds like a software tweak is needed so that the fresh air push is more subtle than a hurricane force. I can't remember the solution that the TSB fix had in terms of software updates on the Wrangler/Gladiator so not sure if it was something similar or just cutting the feature out all together.

well i did delete a profile out of frustration... i will go back over the settings and see if i missed some thing.
