You have hdmi spot in the center, you only need power supply and ur good to go.

Im not an electrician, but cant wait to see mod like that. Would be great for long trips.

Easily done with a Cigarette Lighter Power Converter. My Wrangler and my wife’s Durango have a regular power outlet in the backside. of the center console. She traded her Durango for a Grand Cherokee L but I never looked for the outlet. I’ll check when she gets home.

They come with 12vdc outlet and a 120vac outlet as Standard

From the Owners Manual:

There is a 115 Volt, 150 Watt inverter outlet
located on the back of the center console to
convert DC current to AC current. This outlet can
power cellular phones, electronics and other low
power devices requiring power up to 150 Watts.
Certain video game consoles exceed this power
limit, as will most power tools.
Power Inverter
The power inverter is designed with built-in
overload protection. If the power rating of
150 Watts is exceeded, the power inverter
automatically shuts down. Once the electrical
device has been removed from the outlet the
inverter should automatically reset. To avoid
overloading the circuit, check the power ratings on
electrical devices prior to using the inverter

If using a 12VDC outlet to power an inverter you would not be able to get beyond 160Watts assuming an inverter were 100% efficient (which it is not). So your stuck with 150 watts maximum no matter what you do. Jeep says 12VDC at 13 amps maximum.

That is correct.. This outlet is Standard on all Trim levels except for Laredo. Has been for a number of years even going back to my current 2018 JGC

The article linked above says the Xbox exceeds the built-in outlet’s power limit at bootup, hence the generator strapped to the back.

I meaaaaaan, Im pretty sure if you cant plug your console, u can easily plug ur laptop/notebook and then play. Anyway - cool feature for long trips... for my wife

Does anyone happen to know if the onboard 150w inverter is a pure sine or modified sine wave? I realize it probably won't matter much for such a small inverter since it limits what you can plug into it, but I am still curious.
