Forward Collision Warning working after all

While on my commute this morning I was able to see Forwward Collision Warning in action. It is the second time that (after around 8 months of ownership) I've heard the chime and noticed something shows up on my instruments cluster, the car also slightly applied the brakes. I have a dashcam so I thought it would be interesting for all of you to see under what circumstances the system activated.

Mine has never worked in almost 4 months of ownership. Several weeks ago I was on the freeway driving at around 80 mph and the guy in front of me braked hard. The FC system never alerted me or braked and if it wasn't because I was paying attention, I would have crashed into him. I have"as designed". Oh well....
