FINALLY

Finally this dealer that I’ve taken my 21 Limited to has duplicated the issues with the shifting and the front suspension and has opened a star case with Stellantis on both. All othe attempts and other dealers claimed they could not duplicate or was ‘normal’. PROGRESS!! I’ll keep everyone posted.

Apparently The dealer was told by Stellantis that they “have no idea what could be causing the shifting issues and front suspension issues.” I think we all know on this forum exactly what the problems are: transmission valve body and front struts. Was also told that Stellantis is currently redesigning the door panels with another supplier due to the rattling issues. I’m on the list for new door panels.

What shifting issues are you having?

Shudders on downshifting between 2nd and first. Sometimes so hard it feels like someone has bumped into you from behind.

Stellantis sent “updates” this morning to the dealer, and it bricked my drivetrain control module, which now needs to be replaced. No idea how long it will take. I now have a dealer provided rental for who know ls how long. At least this dealer is taking care of me

I have a little bit of that downshift issue as well. I don't think it's quite as bad as what you're experiencing. It's intermittent but definitely annoying when it happens.

Just heard from service manager at Jeep dealership…. New front struts and control arms, new transfer case, new driver control module. Manufacturer trying to determine if the torque converter, or transmission valve body needs to be replaced, or a whole new transmission

What is your downshift issue? I just had some strange hard/clunk downshifts today when passing on two lane roads. Basically accelerating from around 55 to 75 or whatever, but when pulling out to pass and flooring it, it made a really hard hesitation/clunk/slam sort of action. Mine is a V8 4x4.

It's being bought back, but I'm still curious about the issue as I will most likely be ordering another one.

Also glad to hear they're changing the door panels. Mine are still horrible. The dealer tried to solve the problem but had no luck.

My downshift issue is a shudder (most common from 2nd to 1st). Also has an audible click at 18mph. Sometimes it will shift so har it feels like I’ve been rear-ended by another vehicle.
