Employee Discount

I have access to use the Employee discount for a new L purchase. I seem to remember that it amounts to 1% off invoice. Is that a set, no haggle price when factored in, or could there be a haggle discount over and above that price?

FFP Price = 1% below invoice
EP Price = 5% below invoice
Which is the one you have access to?

Good for you. I would ask him anyway to confirm the L is still available for employee pricing. No reason it should not, but Stellantis has been struggling with profits so there could be temporary restrictions on what Employees can buy.
No way you will get lower than EP under the current circumstances.

I got EP pricing and then rebate on top of that. I checked two dealers and got quoted the exact same price on two exactly equipped Cherokee L trucks. This was just last week. No haggling… I didn’t even try because around here several dealers are not even excepting the EP pricing which I think is lousy of them to do.

Yea, the no haggle same everywhere price is great. 5% off dealer invoice plus 1500 in rebates made my deal a no brainer !

My dealer is still able to do 6% below invoice on special orders. They did do 7% below invoice on both my gladiators (20 gas then traded for 21 diesel). They can’t do 7% since Tread Lightly has stopped. A few dealers around country (Gupton also) are still willing to do steep discounts on special builds.

That's awesome pricing! Gupton was offering me 4% under invoice. What dealer do you work with? I ended up going with Chapman in PA at 4% under invoice for my 22 order.

I put my order in 5 months ago and still waiting for delivery, I heard yesterday it is in transit. I am extremely interested in seeing what discounts I can get

What are the criteria for the $1,500 in rebates?
They have a $500 first responder rebate if you fit that criteria. They have $500 if you own a competitor vehicle. I think there is a $500 rebate for military as well. There was a $500 rebate for something else too. If you go to the Jeep website they say all available rebates. I wasn’t lucky enough to have all apply for me but I made out ok as far as rebates go. The biggy was the EP pricing. That’s like gold in this current market. Without that I would probably been in the market for a year old low mileage used car.

Just a heads up, none of these rebates are available if you ordered a MY 22. They are only available on the MY21. I know the Limited had a few rebates and there were a few specific rebates targeting those that already own a Jeep, those leasing, and those who own a competitors vehicle.

That’s funny, I’m working with Renee at Gupton as we speak and they will do the 6% for me. I’m down in FL and I’m using Lakeland CDJR. They are doing 6% but if the vehicle is over 60k they are supposedly only doing 5%. I called BS on that and since I had special ordered both of my gladiators through them they “waived” the 5% and let me roll with the 6%. I will say I just did the math yesterday and saw they are trying to be sneaky because it actually comes out to 5.6%. You can accidentally fuck that up. You take invoice and multiply by 6% then subtract. SO they have annoyed me on that one. I have to make sure they honor the 6 before i order or else Gupton is even more enticing.

Gupton is a cheap 125 one way ticket for me from Tampa and since FL dealer fees are a complete joke I have entertained the idea of heading up there. Time will tell. Wife is trying to decide between the overland or Summit. She wants the bench seat but you can’t have any of the tech packages if you get the bench seat (I can’t understand why). Summit you can do both but she really hates the orange stitching on the grey leather (it really is horrendous) and we are seriously worried about the summit trim stitching on the seats fraying. We saw one with 4k miles and the stitching on the sides of the seats in front looked awful! Completed frayed and all from sliding in/out. Dealer said “oh it’s warranty issue” to whitch I asked if that is all it was why wasn’t it already taken care of? Tupelo was too orange for her and she has black leather now in her explorer so she’s not sure how she feels about more black on black interior. I just WISH we could have tech and bench in the overland!!!!!!
