eLSD working for you?

I have a 22, two-door trailhawk WL. Never have found a way to make the lock go into a locked position for the electronic limited slip differential. Anyone else have thoughts?

Have you been in a slippery situation? Wouldn't the LSD only kick in when it senses differences in wheel spin? It's a LSD rather than a locker.

Are you talking about shifting into 4-low?

QUADRA-TRAC II SYSTEM —
IF EQUIPPED
The Quadra-Trac II System features two torque transfer
couplings. The couplings include an Electronic Limited-
Slip Differential (ELSD) rear axle and the Quadra-Trac II
transfer case. The ELSD axle is fully automatic and
requires no driver input to operate. Under normal driving
conditions, the unit functions as a standard axle,
balancing torque evenly between left and right wheels.
With a traction difference between left and right
wheels, the coupling will sense a speed difference. As
one wheel begins to spin faster than the other, torque
will automatically transfer from the wheel that has less
traction, to the wheel that has traction. While the transfer
case and axle coupling differ in design, their operation
is similar. Follow the Quadra-Trac II transfer case
shifting information, preceding this section, for shifting
this system.

Too bad I could not get ELSD on my 2023 WLJS74, lucky you go it. I was forced to delete it on my USA order, not available they said. Perhaps next year.

Yes Jake22, we have been through this before, that is a Canada build and a Summit, I have an Overland. For some unknown reason this was NOT available to order in the USA, at least corporate lease. You were forced to delete the ELSD before you ordered and the Off-Road package was never available here on the Overland. It was an option but it always said "Late Availability." I do not live in Canada as you apparently do. I was going to do a screen grab showing the forced ELSD deletion on the Overland however 2023 ordering is now closed, only 2024 open and only Wrangler available so far. 2024 code guides are out for the GC and there is no 2-wheel drive Overland or Summit, 4-wheel only and the off-road package is gone and only the Summit has ELSD as standard. So I guess if I wanted it, it's Summit or nothing for 2024.

All there is for 2024 in USA so far:

I'm assuming that is true. I haven't been able to cause enough slippage for it to lock perhaps.

Does anybody know if the Mopar rock rails are available to be purchased and installed on a 2023?

August build just arrived...Trail Rated Overland...Rocky Mountain Pearl...ORG & eLSD
View attachment 4110

My Overland was built 7-23 with no ELSD, at least the ordering system said it was deleted. I see nothing on the window sticker that days it has ELSD or does not have it. I was forced to order an option that said "Delete ELSD" and I got a $300 credit for it. Is this another Canadian Jeep? The last USA code guide for 2023 said the only way to get ELSD on an Overland was to order the off road package which was "Late Availability" and was never available here, AFAIK. The 2024 USA code guide no longer has the "Off Road" package available at all. ELSD is still marked as standard on the Summit only for 2024, USA models. Ordering is currently closed for 2024 Jeeps here so I cannot do a test order. If there is a strike, it may be closed for some time. Corporate USA lease rates were lowered for 2024 so when I have to order, I guess I will try for the Summit but I won't be able to order till June 2024.

2024 MY ordering is now open for USA retirees. I can confirm that if you really want the ELSD (DSF) you must order a Summit. All options of the Overland contain (DS8) which is the conventional rear axle. I also noticed that the trailer tow package is no longer standard on the Overland. I have a 2023 Overland and it has a trailer hitch which was standard but no longer. It is still an option. Again, this is USA only. There is no off-road package available for the GC, bye bye skid plates. I probably will order a summit when I can order. It will be only about $30 more a month than what I have as they lowered the lease rates for corporate lease.

It looks like the ICE Trailhawk is no longer available, (at least on the US jeep.com site), so there's no eLSD available with an ICE until the Summit models. Odd that the Overland trim, the original off road version, can no longer get the off road option. Now for an ICE, the glitzy, higher cost appearance packages need to be added to get the better off road functionality.

There was no ICE Trailhawk last year (2023) either. No factory skid plates for ICE WLs at all. Last year and this there still is a 4XE Trailhawk but last year you could order the off-road package for the 4XE Overland but it is gone this year. So the 4XE Trailhawk seems to be the only trail-rated 2-row GC there is. Oh well....

That's a bummer. Don't want the glitz and larger wheels of the Summit, or the added cost. But the cost of the Overland has gone up so much that it's only $500 less than the Reserve when the comparable options are added. I wonder if there's any indication they'll revive the Overland off road option later, or if I have to dig into other brands.

I'd explore the 4xe more, but find the tubo lag those show off the line bothersome compared to the smooth acceleration of the ICEs.

I feel the same. The last GC I really liked was my 2021 Trailhawk (previous model) but it was a one year corporate lease. This Overland I have is way too much filled with electronic crap I will never use. I don't use Android Auto or Alexa in the car, voice commands. park sense, etc. I suspect the ICE GC is dead for trail-rated vehicles. I would consider a 4XE but I would want a home charger and that will cost me a lot. I would need a whole new home electrical panel and then dig up the wires to the garage which are under brick pavers, probably thousands in costs. Oh well....
