Does anyone know how long the jeep connect app is free.

I purchased my GCL on 12/15/21 and just noticed my jeep app on my phone stop tracking and fuel mileage etc. stop updating. I still have remote start and locking features. And is it worth paying for.

In Canada they want $18.99 a month plus Tax. It's not worth it when half the time it doesn't work.
Ford has an App that is Free and does way more stuff.

The Jeep app is free for the first 6 months post-purchase date. I also had a brief outage on the app yesterday, but my app is back up and running today.

I'm leaning to agreeing with the two members above in that the app is probably not worth the monthly fee. If Jeep adds more features, then I may consider down the road.

I could go buy any car not slated as a “luxury” product as the L is and for considerably cheaper and get a significantly better, useful, consistent experience through an app. Hell I would even rather go back to my 2018 GC with the uconnect app because it let me do miles more than the begrudgingly slow and lackluster jeep connect app not to mention it was originally 3 months free but got extended to 6 because nobody’s worked…most vehicles get a year free at least

Mine just expired after 6 months. When I was thinking about paying for it, I asked myself what I would be getting for it in return. Could not come up with any significant feature so I decided against it. I didn't even get the fuel level or tire pressure on my app when it was 'active'...

My app stopped working 6 months later. The only thing I used it for was to remote start the vehicle when my keys wouldn’t reach. I’m certainly not paying $15/mo for that. It should be free for a $70k vehicle.

Question: is anyone else's Jeep app not updating with the real time information? Mine has been frozen for about 3 days.

The app is a joke. Once mine expired, I tried to renew online. Nothing but errors. Instead of stating that you cannot renew online because the website hasn't been updated to allow that yet, they just let you error out. I eventually called in to Jeep and the girl informed me that I had to renew over the phone with her until they finish building the payment integration. To my surprise she told me it was $150 a year!! Which is crazy because I have a direct comparison with my 2020 subaru. I paid $75 for THREE YEARS for their app fee and even back then they had vehicle health, reminders, you could customize your climate settings like: driver side temp, passenger side temp, air flow (head/feet/defrost/etc), fan speed, seat heat level, defrost on or off (front and rear). These are super useful for having specific remote start settings for summer, winter, spring/fall.

Basically, Jeep is forcing you to pay a LOT more for far less features than competitors. I brought this up in my conversation and was told "we're working on new features" with no timetable or any information on what those upgrades are.

To make matters even worse, I had to make another service visit to my local dealership for my third software update (not the over the air wifi updates) but a TSB to be able to get additional data on the Jeep app such as tire pressure, fuel level, mileage. You have to call up the service department and then go through the whole story about why you need them to update your brand new Jeep again just to get features you're either already supposed to get in your free trial or that you are now paying for. And hope they know what you're talking about (they usually don't). For reference, you need to ask for TSB 08-174-21 Rev A - Telematics update to get newer features on the Jeep app with a Jeep Connect subscription.
