Do the Jeep plants close for the holidays??

Great question. I know I just helped my brother in law place a Yukon order, and it's scheduled to be built the week between Christmas and New Years. I was under the impression in years past, that the major auto companies shutdown from before Christmas to after the 1st. Maybe with all the part shortages, some of them are getting agreements to work over the holidays.
With a Wrangler and GC on order, with the Wrangler with an estimated ship date of 12/23, I've very curious about this as well.

I work for a major auto manufacturer and we close for a period of time during the holidays, primarily to allow for downtime work (facilities, IT, operations, tooling etc.) to be completed without impact to production. It can vary however based on demand and how a factory is set up. Some of ours are set so you can run production on redundant systems / power grids but we typically are shut down for at least a week.
