Defect of the day: floor vents not attached.🙄

This is on top of my center console vents having no air output, while the interior of my console is a soup-warming 120+ degrees.

I swear IKEA sells things with less assembly required than this car 🙄🤦‍♂️

None. And it’s not even attached with anything. The whole piece is just loose.

You would think there would be some kind of clips or something holding it in place, but there's nothing. Given that my console ducts are also not attached (no air comes out the second row center vents either, the console is 122 degrees or more inside, and there's a lot of other weird stuff with the front footwell vents never seeming to be warm, the defroster is totally ineffective unless it's set to 'max defrost' with the dash button, etc...) Throw in vibrating door panels that rattle during certain music frequencies, pass visor starting to rattle... the whole thing is a mess of bad assembly problems.)

I just had that piece off today take your time it’ll snap back in place pull the plastic Phillips screw out to make the duck be able to be moved. As I was checking all the fuses right under that panel.

The left side that has the foam surround, actually extends in and out. It is to secure into the opening to the left for the ac seats. I learned this under my seat to access the battery. They are retractable so it can pop out

There's a part that slots into the output duct. It's attached to another part below it (both plastic), but it seems like the bottom one should be attached to something???

With mine, they whole thing had zero attachment points except where the foam-trimmed part slots into the console output. Since that was loose, I could just pull the whole thing out, like a piece of garbage stuck under the seat. It seems like it should have had a few screws or a push pins holding it in place? Is it really just supposed to be 'resting' under the seat, held in only by being connected with squishy foam to the duct???

That just doesn't sound right for any part of a vehicle, much less one that could be kicked by feet or whatever gets shoved under there by kids, etc.
