Cruise control going significantly faster than programmed, not slowing down as requested sometimes?

I've had this happen a few times where I reduced the speed on the cruise control (the self-steering, radar/camera based system) and the car just kept going (like reducing it from ~55mph to 45mph for a speed zone). My car has just been littered with electrical issues, but this just started happening in the past month. You can hit the brakes and disable it, but it's just one more bizarre glitch to add to the list. Mine is getting bought back soon, but I'm curious if anyone else has had this issue?

(I have a video of it as proof, but haven't uploaded it yet - it just shows what's described above)

Pretty much. I think there's something wrong in the bus system, a loose wire, a knicked wire in the harness... I have a friend who is an automotive electrical engineer and that's what he's said, as well as some other people in that line of work on the forums. They replaced my Uconnect 'brains' and it restored it to pretty good functionality, but the screen still flickers sometimes, which is how it started last time. I really think they should just send it to a recycling yard. The air suspension acts up sometimes too, still, and then there's the door panel rattles from the stereo, the intermittent functionality of the high beams, the wipers, the rear hatch sensor, etc etc.

I really hope the next one is better. Or maybe I'll lemon my way into the new twin turbo motor, which I'll definitely trade up to otherwise when it's available (at my elevation I have V6 power and V8 fuel economy; with the turbos I would have over an extra 120 hp, which would be REALLY nice...

Nothing to be concerned about. Just normal type stuff for GCL pos.

I was told that there is a redesign for the door panels. I’m on the list for a new set. But basically anything that helps my Jeep move aside from the motor itself is currently being replaced

Any word on when the panels will be available? I'm still negotiating my buyback replacement vehicle; I wonder if the new one will have panels that don't rattle. Also, they should carpet the door pockets. You can't put anything in them or they rattle too. Assuming that won't change, I'll be using spray glue and some matching carpet to line the door pockets so we can actually use them. On the upside, the McIntosh sound system is phenomenal for an OEM system...

My servicing dealer doesn’t know when they will be in. They said I should be getting my fixed Jeep back, with exception to the new panels, on Tuesday

Any update on door panel availability. I have to imagine they'll be replacing thousands of these...

If it any consolation not all new Grand Cherokees have problems. I have 3000 miles on my Jeep Limited L with tech package. After 6 weeks other than some memory seat glitches I am surprised how solid the new Jeep has performed. Rides almost perfectly with never a squeak or rattle. I have yet to take it back to the dealer for anything which is surprising. Don't know if I am just lucky or others just unfortunately got the bad apples. Hope you can find resolution.

I have to imagine there are thousands of them out there with few issues at all. A friend of mine who is an auto industry electrical engineer thinks mine may have an unidentified issue with either a component on the bus system, or even a knick in the bus wiring harness, or a bad connection somewhere that's triggering a lot of my electrical problems. I have other issues as well which are pretty bad, but it's really strange to see so many very random electrical issues. One thing (per above) can wreak havoc on a lot of different system components due to the nature of the varying types of electrical signals traveling on the same lines, and it can be nearly impossible to find/solve.

Hopefully the next one will be a completely different story.

Mine has been in the shop this time around for 6 straight weeks. Almost 10 weeks total since I bought it at the end of August.

I agreed to my buyback deal today. Still working on the replacement deal... Hopefully the next one is actually as good as it looks.

This has happened a few times on my '21 GCL Summit Reserve where I turned on active cruise control, and the speed continued to increase even when there was a car in front of me. Kinda scary.
