I just had my exterior cer,aid coated and some PPF done. I asked about putting these on the interior and they did not recommend. They said Jeep was known for very thin veeners and they were worried about damaging them if the PPF needed to be replaced. Anyone have experience removing these?

I use Zaino All in One…. Make it look like glass and reduces fingerprints. No worries about long term issues

That’s a total BS concern imho

I had our center stack paint corrected and PPF. The PPF itself for the center stack was $250. The paint correction was $200, but that also included several of the gloss black on the exterior.

I'm thinking of having this done, as I can already see very fine scratches on the center stack. I have an Xpel dealer/installer locally. Is this done without any disassembly? Is it pretty much invisible or can you see the edge of the film?

Yes, the install is done without disassembly. If you look close enough, yes you will see the edges. The payoff to slightly seeing edges is much greater than heavily scratched piano black.

I just had Xpel ppf applied to my center stack and screen 3 days ago. It was $200 at a local, very reputable, detail shop. They have the ability to cut their own pieces...so they downloaded the pattern from Xpel and cut them out on site.

My installer told me not to clean it or wipe it for about a week, so it's still a little smudged up from the install. It also had some tiny moisture bubbles, which he said would evaporate and flatten out in a week or two. Parking it out in the sun helps. In 3 days, just about all them...except 3 tiny bubbles...have disappeared. If they don't go away, I'll go back and let him work them out.

All in all...it will probably be the best $200 I ever put in this vehicle. The edges are practically invisible, and I can tell from the feel that it will be much more durable than the piano black plastic finish. It has a slightly softer, tactile feel to it. I would definitely recommend it.
