CarPlay Screen - Time & Song Text Disappear From Top Bar

This seems like a bug to me, but when you are on the CarPlay app screen the main time and song title disappear from the top shortcut bar on the screen. I get that CarPlay has a tiny little time display to the top left of the CarPlay screen, but for consistency it would be great if they left it alone at the top. While clicking around I got it to display once and then it disappeared again and never got it back. I can't imagine this is intentional? It's literally displayed on every other screen except CarPlay.

I Don’t know if this is a problem but I had a 2021 GCL altitud and now i have a 2022 GCL limited and both with same issue

To me it seems broken because it’s not a CarPlay issue, it doesn’t have access to that part of the screen. Definitely something Jeep could/needs to turn on.

Does the same thing for Android Auto. I've also thought it was a bug that needs fixing.

Not sure I see the issue. It uses your phone clock instead in CarPlay mode. Ur Jeep clock prolly differs from iPhone clock too. My last truck I couldn’t see vehicle time in CarPlay mode either.

To me personally it’s a consistency issue. I’m used to looking at the time and current song in the top bar like it does 99% of the time. Second, the app itself doesn’t take over the top bar, that’s still a function of the Jeep software for the screen itself. The app simply resides inside a set area of the full screen and therefore shouldn’t interfere or alter that bar.

It’s definitely a personal opinion, but it should at least give you the option to set it how you would prefer it considering it’s a 10 second code change for a $50k+ vehicle.
