Car Alarm Help

Does anyone know how to disable the car alarm when the GCL is parked and unlocked? I put daycare stuff in the night before, or morning of without the key (since it’s unlocked). I’m at about a 50% chance whether the alarm goes off. It works well for an instant wake up, but it would be cool if it stopped.

Don't know why it happens. Just hit unlock on your fob. Works on other makes too. Rescued an older lady at the credit union last week. Can't remember what make of car she had.

That sounds like defect. I can't imagine why the alarm would go off if the car isn't locked. Imagine camping somewhere and waking up the whole campground, when your car wasn't even locked???

If it’s not something others are experiencing I might have to follow up with the dealer to see if there is some hardware failure causing it.

My car has so many weird anomalies like this (but not this issue), it seems like something in the bus system is haywire and it’s just triggering all manner of different weird events.

I have all kinds of weird inconsistent anomolies from wipers to air suspension to rear hatch to auto hi beams etc etc etc. it’s stuff that’s hard to duplicate or even document on video because you never know what’s going to happen or when.

That kind of stuff is really hard to repair, too, because WTH is a tech supposed to do either, until there’s a TSB? Very frustrating.
