Body molding on limited

Do you think I could replace the black bottom side moldings on my GCL limited with the body colored molding? Maybe not the back and front bumpers but all the side panels. How much do you think it might cost and is it difficult to switch out? Thanks

I called a paint shop Maaco. They said that this type of plastic material doesn't hold the paint.

I think it can but it takes a lot of prep work to get it to hold and look right. I've seen people paint the fenders, bumpers, and hard tops in the wrangler forums where they came in black textured finish. It probably would be cheaper to buy paintable ones is my guess,
