Black trim around wheel wells/doors

Hello all,

Looking for your guidance/opinions here - I Traded in my 2018 Dodge Durango GT for GCL Limited last week. Really liked my Durango but Loving my new GCL. The only thing that is kind of bothering me is the two tone molding trim across the bottom of the Limited. I bought a Velvet Red Limited and it has the black molding trim across the bottom of the wheel wells and doors/bumpers with the body Velvet red. I really wanted the Overland which has the same color body and moldings but couldn't justify the additional $5K+ for just a few upgrades compared to the Limited.

Do you think I could replace my black molding pieces with after-market red velvet ones? Maybe the front and back fenders would stay black but the rest being one color. How would it look? And would it be cost prohibitive to get these ordered and installed? No idea how much these parts would be and how much they would cost. I probably get a family friend to install as he does body wlork... love to get your thoughts. thanks

I was looking at the limited as well before going with the Overland. Body colored molding is not the only reason for the difference in price. 2 of the many upgrades I enjoy is the air ride suspension and the McIntosh sound system. I agree that the black molding was a turn off.
