Black Overland L High Altitude?

The owner said he ordered it from the dealer that way, and it arrived with the black front end (grille, lower grille trim, tow hooks), but not the window trim surround. I don't get it. Did they even offer a Trailhawk with that lower grille surround and tow hooks in black, to order parts from (I'm thinking the dealer just said 'we'll get you whatever you want' and charged him for the trim bits and install, but it did not roll off the truck that way.)

I asked to do something similar and my 'Executive Referral Manager' said they cannot do anything like that with regard to installing custom mix-and-match trim bits. I wanted the upper roofline chrome and roof rack to be black, but not the rest of it, and was told 'no way, no how', but that guy was too incompetent to even get me Midnight Sky after eleven months so who knows what's actually possible.

You asked for black tow hooks on a Summit? 🥴
No, I originally wanted a Midnight Sky Overland with a black roof and the black window surround trim, with the rest of the car as-is, and then the same with a Summit Reserve (b/c it was the only way to get the eLSD in the US) as well as the gray fake wood trim from the Overland, and was told the assembly line cannot handle those kinds of requests, even if the parts are 'off the shelf'.

I seem to recall you used to work on the assembly line - was that true in your experience, regarding 'no non-orderable modifications'?
