For some reason when i use my auto start, it does not always respond. I hear one honk and thats it... then i have to press it again to get it started. is there a reason it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't? anyone have/had same issue. ty

It does happen when you're low on gas, but this is different. It happens even on a full tank. Very strange

There are a few conditions that need to be met in order for the remote start to work, from the manual:
If the Remote Start button on the key fob is pushed too rapidly during activation, the vehicle may not start.  With Remote Start, the engine will only run for 15 minutes.  Remote Start can only be used twice.  If an engine fault is present or fuel level is low, the vehicle will start and then shut down in 10 seconds.  The parking lights will turn on and remain on during Remote Start mode.  Headlight animation (if equipped) will occur when Remote Start is activated, if “Headlight Illumination On Approach” is enabled within Uconnect Settings.  For security, power window and power sunroof operation (if equipped) are disabled when the vehicle is in the Remote Start mode.  The ignition must be placed in the ON/RUN position before the Remote Start sequence can be repeated for a third cycle. All of the following conditions must be met before the engine will remote start:  Gear selector in PARK  Doors closed  Hood closed  Liftgate closed  Hazard switch off  Brake switch inactive (brake pedal not pressed)  Battery at an acceptable charge level  System not disabled from previous Remote Start event  Vehicle Security Light is flashing  Ignition in OFF position  PANIC button is not pushed  Fuel level meets minimum requirement  Vehicle Security system is not signaling an intrusion  Malfunction Indicator Light is not illuminated

I know many people have had a liftgate latch issue. Maybe that could be causing the problem?

I've had mine refuse to start multiple times for no reason. All the lights come on as though it's starting, but it doesn't try to turn over. Plenty of gas, no battery problems. Repeating the sequence a second or third time sometimes causes it to start. One other time it failed and the fuel light was on when I got in and started it (so I ascribed that incident to low fuel), although it did not actually fire up and shut down in that instance (as indicated that it should by the post above).

I have so many random, inconsistent electrical gremlins, though, I just assume this is yet another one. (full list of issues attached). Personally I think I have a problem in my bus or harness (a bad ground, loose fuses, nicked wire, poor wire connection somewhere, etc)

oh boy. this sounds like a laundry list of issues, thankfully i dont have many of those although some glitches do occur with the carplay feature. have you ever considered bringing it back? i would be furious if i had problems like this on such an expensive trim

Pages and pages of problems ranging from random, hard to duplicate things to QC things (rattles, panel alignment, HVAC not connected correctly) to things that are open and obvious but cannot be solved, or at least haven't been.

I'm working on a Stellantis/dealer trade assist with a replacement, but they're very slow about it. It's been in the shop for weeks, torn apart over and over.

Sounds like a disaster. Sorry for your troubles, hope at the end everything works out.
