AT&T Wifi without engine running?

So while I'm probably wasting money, I decided to splurge on the prepaid $200 unlimited 12 months of in car wifi. My wife enjoys watching a firestick on the passenger screen on road trips, and I do have a work notebook that I sometimes have to use in the car, so there's that. However another primary use I had intended for it was to stream the 4th quarter of football when I'm using our season tickets during football season and I leave the game early to set up the tailgate. Currently I use my verizon hotspot, which is not unlimited, and I figured it would be great to use the in car instead, because it's unlimited, and probably has a better signal.

The day after I pulled the trigger I happened to notice that the hotspot status indicator gets a red slash as soon as the engine is switched off, which probably means that I'm not going to be able to run it without at least having the ignition in Run, with or without the engine running...

So... Has anybody ever done this?

On my 2019 GC, there was an ACC mode, which I frequently used to listen to the radio while waiting in the car, and it would automatically turn off after 10 mins. There obviously is no ACC anymore for whatever reason. I'm currently hoping that there is no time limit on "Run" without the engine running, so maybe that would work for me, but my concern is all of the electronic doo dads that this car has, even when you walk up to it with the engine off, it sounds like it's going to start churning out spacely sprockets, I'm concerned that even if I turn the HVAC off with the ignition in Run, that leaving it for a few hours during the tailgate may wind up killing the battery.

I carry one of those emergency jump packs with me, but I'd rather not have fuel pumps or air compressors or whatever else may be making all of those lovely sounds running the whole time.

I guess I'm going to test this out regardless at home, but if anybody has any experience already with this, would love to hear about it.
