I have a SR w/V8 on order, How do you like everything so far?
Used to have a 2012 V8 Overland Summit, and loved it.
Like to hear your thoughts on the McIntosh audio system?
Thanks
Have SR V8 and from our perspective its money well spent (coming from our 2015 AUDI A8L 4.0T to it)

Its performance to date has been excellent and we have had it about a month now. The interior is of course surprisingly posh for a Jeep, and usually is a surprise to anyone that has seen it.

Based on recommendations from this forum we got the Tidal Music streaming app with the Master quality subscription, connect our phone using USB, and the music through the McIntosh system is amazing.
Having been an old audiophile from back in the day, I am pleasantly surprised by this system. Its better than the Audi's or my wife's Lexus and both of those systems are no slouches sound wise. Not Burmeister quality but pretty close using the above Tidal App.

If the dome light not staying on long enough is an issue, well then yes. Otherwise no. The owner's manual is 388 pages. I suspect that a number of select "issues" would be resolved with a good read.

I have a 21 Limited with 1900 miles. No issues and it works good.

I have had the service 4wd light on once when i shifted quickly from park to drive when it was really cold. The auto start stop doesn't work because I make a lot of short trips and can't maintain adequate charge in that system (not a big deal for me anyway). And a few wireless android auto issues that I believe are more phone related than car.

I am very happy with it and would buy another one should I need to.

I have been wondering if the major issues we are hearing on this message board is from a select few with problems or if the problems are more persistent and wide spread. The few that have sounded off with major issues is giving me second thoughts on my 22WL that is yet to arrive. Also interested if the problems people are having are based on the 3-row only and at what level of trim / engine.

SR V8. Issues, issues, and even legal issues, Out of respect, I won’t poop on your post with my pages of issues. On the positive side it hasn’t killed me or caught on fire yet. Best of luck to all owners with no issues. This is my 3rd and last GC, my 5th FCA in 15 years and last FCA vehicle. I am walking away from supplier discounts to buy a different brand. I will never conduct business with them again.

I've been trying to keep track of this too. There are definitely many with some issues and a few with many issues, even with critical functions like power steering,. It has been suggested that the early arrivals, assembled before Dec 21 are the most commonly stricken. Another detail that remains to be seen is how fully those early deliveries are getting remediated. If anyone has a later build with issues, please chime in. Many have also listed intermittant issues with the Uconnect radio and car play features, but there's some promise that an imminent Uconnect update addresses those.

Just out of curiosity, we're you able to level off the base that some have said is somewhat exaggerated on this, unlike the home McIntosh systems.

22 GC Summit Reserve V8 - the electronics, Infotainment so far have been flawless. Everything working and did take some time to really understand all the tech in this Jeep. My only issue is the MDS activation on my V8 Causes a Vibration. I dont think its drive train but more of an exhaust resonance. I have an appointment with my dealer service manager next week. I'll report back.

The EQ is perfect at higher volume levels, but at mid to lower levels it can be too boomy, in which case you can just turn the bass down (I usually use -4) in the EQ (only 3 channel). Otherwise, aside from my myriad electrical problems, the sound quality is better than anything I've heard on a factory system (B&O Audi, etc). The only systems I would say are better are things I've custom installed, using pretty expensive components (think low five figure systems).

The McIntosh Audio was one of the primary drivers of my purchase, and as a musician and a music enthusiast who has more than a few decades screwing with home and mobile audio, I would not ever plan to modify this system.

@wowsa - Hello, 1st post on the forum for me. I also have a limited with about 8000 miles on it. My hotspot, along with weather and traffic flow feature in navigation stopped working this past Monday. After going through the back and forth w/ AT&T and UConnect support pointing fingers at each other, I finally scheduled a service appt at the dealer. Sure enough, when I turned it on this morning to bring it to the shop, everything working perfectly. I'm guessing/hoping it was an over the air update that was downloaded to correct the issue.

If there was an OTA update you would have been notified when strting up the vehicle after it was done or trying to complete itself. Ergo, no update OTA was done it seems it just started working on its own for some reason.

Ok, glad to hear that there is a notification after an OTA update. The "service advisor" at the dealership had no clue if there was one or not. He was doing just as much guessing as I was. Lol

I also have a GC SR V8 and have a similar experience as you, everything has been flawless except a vibration and drone with MDS under light load. Haven’t taken it in yet. What did they find with yours?

No major issues with my WL74. I've been overall a happy owner over the past four months of ownership. However, I have had a few cosmetic nits, but again, nothing major.

Ugh, frustrated. They uploaded new software and installed a modified "breather"....... Not Fixed! They tell me that they have a case open and no fix as of now. I took delivery in January and have been dealing with this for months now.

Count yourself lucky. I’ve been dealing with this pos since September 1. I’ve given up and plan to drive it ( if possible ) until I can buy a real SUV, hopefully an EV.
