Any WL owners without issues?

As with many full redesigns, now that the WL75s have been out for a few months, I see that many with a few miles on them are encountering a range of problems. Many of the problems seem to be intermittent, and therefore more difficult to diagnose. It seems that the new capabilities and complexity of the new Unconnect system may be at the root of the problem, which suggests it might be solved with software updates. But at this stage of ownership experience, has anyone not had one or more problems with their new model?

The only issue I have had is when I plug my super old iPod in it doesn't read any of the playlists on the iPod. My 2018 Jeep Compass did recognize the playlists. So whatever Jeep did with the uconnect software it changed something. But that really isn't an issue to cry about. I do keep checking to see if they have put out an update for uconnect but everytime I enter in my VIN on their webiste it says my system is up to date. But I have seen on these forums people have been able to update their connect systems. I guess I will ask the dealership whenever I go in for my 1st oil change.

I'm low mileage (<600miles), but with a lot of short (<5mile trips) over the last month and a half. SR w/V8 - No issues so far.

I have a SR w/V8 on order, How do you like everything so far?
Used to have a 2012 V8 Overland Summit, and loved it.
Like to hear your thoughts on the McIntosh audio system?
Thanks

have a 21 SR with 5k miles. Have a couple small annoying things that are mostly resolved but no real issues.

Finger's crossed but hopefully Jeep will have a few of the issues fixed on my 2022.
Not holding my breath.
I have a 2018 Wrangler JL that has had its share of problems.
But everything the car ,truck or SUV have there own issues.
Thats just the way it is in today's world.
Thanks for the feedback

While I know it may not be true for everyone, I've had at least one of each of each generation of JGC, (and its predecessors), and none of them had problems that weren't attributable to wear. But this new generation is so heavily reliant on electronics and software that it seems more vulnerable to problems that seem to surface right out of the gate, many of which are getting reported here. It will be interesting to find out if the Uconnect controlled features have been, or can be made to be, error free.

You are correct, I'll add that to my prayers, A lot of fun features if and when they work?????

At least yours works. My wife and I have to stare at the McIntosh speakers and listen to the speaker on our phones.

Which Uconnect and Audio system do you have. Mine is the fully loaded version, FWIW.

My whole U-can’t-Connect system and practically all the electronics connected to it are a complete disaster. It started glitching on day two and got progressively worse. I’m wondering if they recycled electrical parts from the flood damaged vehicles or something. No parts until at least mid January. Total Lemon, electrically.

I would not have bought it if I knew this was what I was getting.

It seems that JeepCares is reaching out to individuals who report problems here: https://wljeepforum.com/index.php?forums/wl-uconnect-systems.21/

As someone else suggested, I wonder if somewhere, at the factory or dealer, the wrong version of software was installed. Maybe, hopefully, a software flash could clear up the fundamental problems you listed, (and represent the correct mode of Drive Assist). The intermittent problems others have listed may remain, but those seemed more annoying than debilitating.

When I took it into the dealer last month, they said it had all the most recent software updates, and there was nothing they could do but wait for the new parts to arrive in a month or so. I know Jeep could do better, but they don't care until you get a lawyer, I'm betting.

Sorry to heat that. My SR has been pretty flawless minus having to do a soft reset on the uconnect every 10 days or so. I usually lose compass or get some weird clipping in the audio - thats my cue. It always reboots 100%.

The only issue I still have is the easy exit seats / memory not working all the time. Not a huge deal for now.

As this problem list accumulates, especially as you describe a periodic erosion of functionality, it sounds like it's all based in the Uconnect program, maybe a memory leak or other design flaw. The software does seem to be hot off the presses, so these issues might all be resolved with an OTA update. Then they just need to work on communicating what the subscriptions are about.
