I know these forums seem to be a magnet for complaints and gripes about FCA etc..are the majority of us happy with our GCL purchase? my only complaint is that the dealer forgot to inflate the tires to the recommended level. It came at 51 psi! I did notice a rather rough ride quality but bringing it down to 37 all around..seems to be the sweet spot.

are ALL of these vehicles plagued? Can I hear a few success stories? We did have a rough time with a 2022 Wagoneer we bought and it was really not ready for prime time..but with this GCL it was $44,000 LESS and seems to be a well made 2/11/22 build. Software seems to work..so far so good. Anyone else? or is every one of these Jeeps just a misery machine?

All positive here. I came from a 2021 Land Rover Defender X-Dynamic to a 2022 GC Summit Reserve (which is still $30k less than the LR with better interior, ride, tech and as capable off road as the LR) and I LOVE the GC. Not a lick of problems.

Yeah, no major issues here with my WL74. I have been pretty satisfied overall, solid A-grade for first three months of ownership. I've only driven ~800 miles, but no issues whatsoever on the road. Hoping that through the first oil change, the WL continues to hold up just as well. My WL definitely turns some heads on the streets, and also appears much more rugged and versatile than Car & Driver's other favorite mid-size SUVs, the Telluride and the Palisade. The WL also appears far more elegant and professional than a Ford Bronco, FWIW. I definitely wouldn't trade my WL for comparable trims for those models.

I noticed a few nits, which prevented me from rating the WL an A+: (i) like many other members, my center console appears about 0.75 centimeters closer to the front passenger seat than to the driver seat. My passenger seat does not contact the center console, so I think my issue is not quite as bad as others'. I think we all expected symmetry there, but it's definitely not worth the hassle of a repair; (ii) on the purchase date, my WL74 (12/2021 build) had a loose part of the front grille, and tomorrow I have to go to the dealer to drop off the WL so it can be repaired. Hoping it's a simple fix; (iii) certain interior body parts could have been ever so slightly slightly more secure (plastic housing of USB charge ports; moonroof controls/panel) including the SUV's doors (except for tailgate, which is perfect) which could have had a slightly more sophisticated/crisp sound when being shut closed; (iv) my ESS system does not stay operational 24/7, because I infrequently drive the WL for long trips because I mostly work remotely. From what I have read across the forum, it has something to do with the ESS' battery charging. However, ESS seems gimmicky, and I think it's more of a nuisance than a money-saving feature anyways; (v) Jeep really should have included splash guards, all-weather floor liners and a cargo cover for Limited trims, but I understand supply shortages, including for higher trims, etc.

This is a common issue with most makes and models.

It's good to hear of trouble free experiences on this forum.

Sure appreciate the posts. Ours seems to be the right balance between the two row GC and the HUGE wagoneer. We got 1200 miles on it and took a bit of a bath money wise, but the GCL really feels best and way more manageable and like I said earlier the 40k difference in debt really eases my mind.

Only 1100 miles on my wife’s ‘21 (12-21 build) but it’s been absolutely issue free those 1100 miles. Rides fantastic, roomy & comfortable, excellent fuel economy (V6), plenty of power (that says a lot as I drive a heavily modded/built Challenger 392 Scat with a C8 on order) and it gets looks and great responses everywhere. Lol, we’ve had two future GCL owners (on order) catch us out and asked to take pictures of her ride.

Her mods so far: 305/40R-22 on forged 22x10.5 Velgen wheels @ 175 miles on odo, Pedal Commander (helps a bunch), PPF on front fenders, hood, frt bumper, mirror backs, entire length both sides & rear quarters, complete Quartz coating & tinted glass (all done prior to vehicle delivery), de-badged, caliper covers, Husky Liner mats, custom seat covers, dash mat and a hardwired Escort 360 radar. Head & taillights getting tinted this week. The only other mod she’s wanting is Eibach Performance springs when available (May-June) and a custom exhaust for a little bit of sound.

This is my wife’s low mileage vacation vehicle as her primary ride is a tuned ‘20 Ram Rebel Hemi CC on 37’s but lol, I’ve probably put most of the 1100 miles on it so far and I approve of her choice of SUVs & of course, her choice of mods.

We are both very happy with her new GCL and don’t expect to have any regrets. You will find more complaints posted on the Internet than you will praises. Doesn’t matter if it’s Grand Cherokee-Ls, C8 corvettes, handguns, Harleys - it doesn’t matter. Happens all the time. Complaints make better reading. In perspective, how many negative issues or problem vehicles vs total vehicles produced? Probably rather small percentage. Regardless, the wife’s very happy and I’m happy she’s happy with her new & first Jeep.

I have seen the horror stories on these forums too and was hesitant to respond, I am somewhat superstitious lol. It‘s been all good for me after 5.5 months of ownership *knock on wood* I have one gripe but its insignificant in the grand scheme of things. I have to unplug and then plug in my early 2000s iPod to get the Jeep to recognize it whenever I start my Jeep but I am starting to think it’s the iPod and not the car. Although with my 2018 Jeep Compass I didn’t have to do that.

I have a 2021 GCL Overland that i picked up last July, also trouble free. I really like it. The dealer that I use have been great when it came to taking care of the recalls.

Which Pedal Commander did you get? I don't see on their website that they have them out for the GCL yet.
