2022 Grand Cherokee Model Codes

Does anyone have a list of the Model Codes associated with the 2022 Grand Cherokee? I just confirmed with Customer Service that they are building me the wrong model. To get my deposit back, I will need as much information as possible. Also, can someone direct me to a link where I can get a list of Standard Features for the 2022 Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that link, I already had that. I was looking for a document that my dealer received with my order confirmation, 6 pages of every option and the associated feature code, but it was for the WLXT74 (GC Summit 4xe, not my model) The reason that I am looking for a list of Model Codes is that I need the code for the GC Summit Reserve 4xe, the model that they should be building. Thanks again, appreciate your rapid response.

That sounds pretty useful, but I don't have that. But I can tell you that both Summit and Summit Reserve 4xe use WLXT74. The thing that makes it a Summit Reserve is the addition of "Customer Preferred Package 27U," which is the Reserve option set. If you have WLXT74 without 27U, you have a Summit. If you have both, you have a Summit Reserve.

This is very useful and yet confusing. My Dealer ordered the Summit WLXT74 and yes I have the 27U Package, however, Customer Service tells me that I'm getting the Summit 4xe and not the Summit Reserve. I have another session with them tomorrow, speaking to a Specialist. So this now raises more questions, how was my Dealer able to order The Silver Zynith paint when it had already been dropped from the Summit Reserve when we ordered? It is available on the Summit. Is ordering the WLXT74 with 27U the only way to get a Summit Reserve 4xe or is their a more direct way using a different Build Code?

As far as I know, the only way you get a Summit Reserve in the order system is as a base Summit plus the Reserve package. (It's also shown that way in the 4xe Feature Availability PDF linked above—the only trim levels are Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit, and then the Summit Reserve Package is an option for Summit.)

As for paint options, are you assuming Silver Zynith went away just because it dropped out of the build tool on jeep.com? I'm pretty sure the paint options offered there are currently inaccurate in both directions, omitting several colors that I'm pretty sure are available (diamond black, baltic gray, silver zynith, velvet red) and showing at least one color that I believe isn't yet available (hydro blue).

My experience with Jeep Chat/customer service is they offer very little value. I’d say they are about as useful as one would expect. They don’t have timely information and their knowledge is suspect at best.

Thanks, I tend to agree

I am looking at my order sheet ( Price Order Confirmation ) and I have the model code WLXT74 for the Summit 4xe and there is an option pack called "Customer Preferred Package 27U" listed for the SR package. As in, at least on the order sheet and the order pages, the Summit Reserve is not listed as a trim but a package.

Before you go cancel, I would double check your POC sheet ( have your dealer pull it up ) that you indeed have the 27U line item listed as a package.

Correct, once again, anyone that makes any moves based on Customer Service/Jeep Chat is going to be disappointed. As long as you have the option code for 27U on a 4xe it’s a Summit Reserve. Just like in the previous body style the High Altitude models were Overlands with an upgraded package and the Altitudes were Limiteds.

I will certainly do that thanks. What I don’t understand is that on the Jeep Site, the Summit Reserve 4xe is listed as a configurable model. I wonder if anyone started there instead of adding 27U to the Grand Cherokee.

That seems to be the consensus, unfortunately no one has seen a window sticker yet to see how it reads.

They would save a lot of confusion if they’d just change the name of 27U from “Customer Preferred Package 27U” to “Summit Reserve Package.”
