9AD7BC54-4D6F-4DBE-BB0D-DB1E00F98224.jpegWell today my wife was involved in a collision. Not sure what the specifics are because she doesn’t remember what happened. She is doing ok. Curious what the adjuster will say about repairs or if it’s totaled. If it’s totaled I’ll miss some things about it. But other things like the app and radio issues won’t be missed. If totaled we will most likely look elsewhere for other vehicles. I haven’t been impressed by jeeps customer service.

I doubt that you will find much better service with any other makes, crappy seems to be the new normal . Glad that the wife is ok , accidents are NOT fun... thank God for all the built in safety features .

My local ford dealership is awesome. Service manager will text or call with me after hours. I work on call and have a strange schedule. So it is nice having that type of relationship with the dealer. We came to jeep from an explorer that was riddled with issues. If they could have fixed the transmission we wouldn’t have left ford. The local jeep dealership isn’t bad. It’s stellantis. The local dealer doesn’t have good backing from corporate.

Yeah the safety stuff worked great. Just some soreness and bruising where she bumped into the seatbelt by the center console.

Sounds like they are gonna total it. Guess there will some good parts out there for others now. Lol

I would be shocked if that's not totaled. No way that could be made 'like new'; the whole front crumple zone is completely used up. When you actually get in and take chassis measurements, it becomes clear that even more moderate damage than that has a way of bending all kinds of things out of spec.

Yeah body shop said it’s toast. Adjuster said it prob is but will make that determination in the morning. She as doing like 15-20 mph but the other car was going 60 mph. It shifted the front over about five inches he said. I’m gonna take this as a win. I wasn’t happy with the app cost every month especially after six months of only getting half of the service. And jeep corporate doesn’t care. Time to move on to something else. Not sure how that search will go lol. With this whole self inflicted supply chain issue. As a transportation employee it’s sickening to see the bureaucratic bs that is going on.

It’s official. It’s totaled. We all kinda knew that. Now to locate a new vehicle that my wife wants. All in one week before vacation. This should be a blast!! Lol

Well, if you are interested in a 22 Limited WL (2 row). Might be selling mine here in South Florida. 2300 miles, no issues. Just miss my Wrangler and want to go back.

Man that’s the hard way of getting rid of your issues with your radio etc, lol.

That said I would agree that going back with Jeep is not an option.

Sorry your wife was injured but hopefully she makes a quick full recovery and will buy a real car .

Look at the Audi Q7. As soon as I dump mine, I’m either getting a Q7 or a Ram Rebel

All criticism of Jeep aside, it looks like the WL performed pretty well for a combined 80mph impact. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your wife, that was a big hit!
