2021 Grand Cherokee L, Summit Reserve steering issues

My wife’s L is back in the shop again. 2 weeks ago, started up to Service Stability system, service blind spot monitor system, rear collision avoidance unavailable, blind spot monitor system unavailable, Electric Steering was verry difficult. Restarted car 2 times, no change. Limped home and dropped at dealer on Sunday night. 4 of the 6 codes involved steering. Already logged complaints of electric steering wandering during low speed turns! Dealership replacing entire rack n pinion system at 16,500 miles on car. What a mess. Anyone else?

Another weekend passes with this Sumit Reserve L in the shop. Chrysler case 85460518. For what good it did for me to open a case. After the steering unit gets put under it, then I get to drive it. My wife took my 21 WK Overland and left me with her L.

I picked up my Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve L just after noon Monday. So it was only in the shop 15 days this time around. I guess that they took it on a trip after they finished putting it together, because the paperwork says it was checked in on 2/13/23 with 16358 miles and checked out with 16364 miles on 2/27. Funny thing is that when I got into the car, I wrote down the mileage on the odometer as 16397! My car is taken on a 30 to 40 mile joy ride each of the times that it has been in the shop for an extended period of time. Secondly I went back inside to grab my service writer and let him look at the BLACK GREASE MARKS all over my top of the line creamy Palermo leather seat and console lid. So not only was my car in the shop for 15 days without a loaner car to drive, I had to clean up the mess that was given back to me before my wife saw what they had done to her car! To say that this is the SECOND TIME that this car has been given back to me with Black grease all over the seat, I am TOTALLY DISPLEASED at having to clean this car back up after they Worked on it!

What bothers me, repair ticket says in mileage of 16358 out mileage of 16364. I got in the vehicle and wrote down the odometer having 16397 miles on it, while they report on the repair ticket that they only put 6 miles on the car! I brought the service advisor back outside to show him the black grease on my seat and console. I had to clean the black grease off of my Palermo Tan leather seats, console and door before my wife saw the condition that they returned her car in. I hate to say it, but I am waiting on the repair survey for this car, and it is not going to be pretty.

Service ticket reads concern about all the listed warnings, Cause. Code UOB1 Loss of communication with steering control module. Correction: Remove and replace Steering gear assembly.

My beef is 1) the extra Joy ride that is not on the repair ticket mileage, 2) 15 days in the shop without a loaner car for a warranty repair 3). The condition that my car was returned to me with black grease on my Tan Palermo Bucket seat, Console lid and Door cover. I thought that the Jeep Wave program says that you are supposed to get a loaner car for service time, Let alone your car being in the shop for 15 days to get parts, and figure out how to put them in it? I sent this to my Chrysler Cares Case manager, And Messaged to the Chrysler Cares on this Forum, But I believe that I am wasting my time. Gonna be a car made by Someone else next time. Except Government Motors or Ford! I really believe that they rushed these cars into production without proper quality control, and they are not wanting to pay to fix all of the issues that they are having. This is the second time that this car has spent a few weeks in the shop waiting for parts, I had to take my 21 WK style Overland Grand Cherokee on vacation last year while this car sat in the shop without a loaner car for 3 weeks as well!

Each time that I have sat there is because of warranty issues with this car. The service staff want to run and hide when they see me pull up to the service bay door. Yet there are never any loaner cars available.
