‘21 GCL Limited 10” uconnect randomly goes black

Does anyone have an issue in their GCL where the uconnect screen randomly goes black for a few seconds? I have a 21 GCL limited with the 10” screen and it will randomly go black for a few seconds and come back on. Not a huge issue but annoying forsure

Mine does this as well. Compared to some issues others are having I consider myself lucky and just hope that it ends up being resolved by a future update.
 
For me I noticed it's related to CarPlay at least. It flashes with CarPlay issues/glitches. With no CarPlay it never happens to me.

Mine started doing that on day 2, and then the XM and Nav died, and the screen would constantly flash and reboot. It took me opening a case with Jeep and my dealer opening a STAR case with corp engineers to get them to release the part and finally get it shipped and installed THREE MONTHS later. Now my Nav is back, XM works but they deleted the subscription, and wireless carplay still doesn't work, but wired carplay works on my iPhone 12 but not my wife's.

They might get it all figured out in a few years, but it's just a mess for now, apparently.

Bottom line, you need to get the guts of the system replaced probably (not the screen). In my case, when it went dark, I could sometimes toggle the headlights on and off and the screen would come back (it was not actually completely off, but was just so dim that it looked like it was off).

I have it going in next week for an oil change/rotation/ and other unrelated service. I’m going to mention it to them and see if they can take a look.

Mine does it several times every time I drive it. 2021 Limited.

Mine went black this morning and is staying black.
 
Yes! I’ve been having this issue since last year in March. Took it in 3 times while under warranty and they replaced it the first time and the other two times they just claimed that it needed a SOFTWARE UPDATE. Turns out that was a lie.
To this date it’s a DAILY thing. Does it at least 2-3 times a day. Can’t find anything about it for a fix. Took it to a new dealer and they said they couldn’t replicate it so there was no fix.

last weekend I went away halfway to my destination the screen went black it has done it before but usually comes back after restarting my Jeep.
this time it stayed black for 2 days. Then the car didn't move for several days when I started it up it came back on. On my trip home its was very annoying trying to follow direction on the phone with no screen. I leased the vehicle in 21 and was planning on buying it outright in December with all the issues I was having now I'm not sure.

Yes, it’s a known problem since 2021. I just spent over an hour trying to find someone at Jeep who I could talk to about replacing the head unit. We got told that it’s our problem since the warranty is expired. Absolutely terrible customer service; we have complained about the U-Connect issues for three years. Thanks Jeep; doubt we will buy another one given this experience

My 21 Summit Reserve has been doing this for months, then Air Suspension said service. Found left front wheel sensor quit. Replaced and all the Black Screen and slow computer responses went away. The computer is busy trying to correct for something that is going wrong.
