Did you not do the red above the rear bumper for any reason? Here's the back of mine. Seeing yours, maybe I do need to darken up the tail lights. What was it you used? It looks like it kind of has a honeycomb look to it.
I would be totally fine with a VERY muted beep or two, but a full blown 3 honks is way more annoying than it should be. Several other vehicles I've had in the past would give a soft chirp or chime. One vehicle did honk the horn, but it was at 10% of full volume, not 100%.
I 100% agree with you Sarge!! I came off of a '17 Infiniti QX80 that averaged 17-18Hwy and I got the '21 V6 GCL hoping to see 23-25Hwy. At 65-70mph, I'm seeing 20-21mpg. I'm not happy with the gas mileage at all. Also, while towing a 4400 lb trailer, I get 8-9mpg, which is the same as the...
The wheels I got are 20" Touren TR60's and no..... Still waiting on the other 3 to arrive from someplace far-far-away! :) I haven't tackled the front yet. I may do just the grille rings first and see how that looks before doing the bottom and around the headlights.
Chrome upper roof trim is 2 torx screws on each side. very easy to do. I haven't gotten to the grille pieces yet. Rear trim above the hitch was kind of a bear, as that piece was only made to be installed once. A little patience and soft prying is what it takes to remove, wrap and re-install.
The back JEEP logo and the trim piece on the roof rack is plasti-dip and looks good and held up well. I wrapped window trim and the chrome piece above the trailer hitch.
I've now found a simple fix for the whistling mirrors! I used the rubberized Gorilla tape over the "whistle-like holes" in the mirrors and the whistle is 100% gone. It's a simple 10 minute fix.
1) fold the mirror in and you'll see 2 square holes.
2) cut the rubber tape to the contour of the...
I've "Blacked Out" everything on my Black Limited L, with the exception of the grille items. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting on 3 of the 4 (Black) wheels to arrive! I'm sure they're in a container about 1 mile off the California coast right now. I'll post photos of my Jeep when it's done...
I searched under "TSB wind" "TSB silicone" "Wind noise" and there were no posted cures, just owners saying there is a whistling noise. Can you send or copy the cure thread please?
I owned a car stereo shop in the 90's and built custom competition sound systems. Yes, I'm much older now, but I ALWAYS buy cars with the upgraded sound system. I have a '21 GC Limited L w/ the Alpine system. Like it was mentioned earlier, play with the EQ and the settings and it should sound...
