Hypothetically, how would
"the rear drive shaft was coming apart. All the bolts from the shaft to the transfer case are missing." Transfer case was replaced in Spring 2022.
Just like... perhaps, someone with more car knowledge than me. Hypothetically. How could that even happen.
My 22 summit reserve is on week 3 sitting in the parking lot of the dealer. Not drivable. Backordered drivetrain control module. It's the 5th trip to the dealer.
Drivetrain control module. Part backordered. They supposedly did something to expedite the part since the car is not drivable and sitting in the shop now for over a week. I've asked the dealer to look it over, but it took them 3 tries to even find this, so my confidence in them isn't very high.
Told me, it's safe, you can take it home and bring it back when we get the part in, just don't use 4WD. Got it around the corner from home and it's lurching and threw a neutral light and warning. What a beautiful paperweight.
Had a wheel clunk (only when turning the wheel) off and on. Took to dealer (where they drove it 30 miles, really, thirty miles?) And they didn't hear it. Said they checked everything out. It came back 2 days later. Made another appointment for tomorrow. And today my service 4WD light pops up...
Took delivery 1/7. Still loving it almost 3 weeks later. No issues except for the dash screen sometimes during the day stays dim when all the settings are set to manually stay bright - just a setting I haven't found yet, I suppose. Well, and piano black sucks. Even keeping the cup holder cover...
