Has anybody placed an order yet for the WL74?
None. I asked @JeepCares on Twitter and the response was not helpful. It just directed me back to dealer, which obviously doesn't know because Jeep is keeping it a secret.Anyone have any idea when prices will come out and when we can order a 4xe?
For the 4xe? I was told I could order V6 or V8, but that Jeep was not accepting orders for 4xe just yet.Stopped in to the local dealer today, mostly to get my 2017 Laredo appraised for trade-in. Pricing on WL74s is still not available, but he said he'd be happy to place the order! Told him where I'd like to be, net, on a Limited. Will let me know when he has pricing.
Limited. Thought the discussion was about any WL74For the 4xe? I was told I could order V6 or V8, but that Jeep was not accepting orders for 4xe just yet.
It's an Arkansas dealer, but nothing special. Maybe it was the trim you were ordering. Jeep opened up three trims for ordering. I believe limited 4x4, Summit Reserve and Summit Reserve 4Xe. No pricing yet, but they take orders without pricing. I ordered mine on Monday, and got a VIN number yesterday when it went into D status. I would say it's either you ordering a trim not open yet, or the dealer didn't want to place an order without pricing, or the dealer doesn't know what he's talking about. What dealer was that? Went to one today and they told me “no Jeep dealer in the nation” can order one.
I thought the same, but my dealership told me that the Summit Reserve with 4xe is not yet available for order. @JeepCares confirmed this. It's puzzling since it was widely reported this trim would be available for pre-order in early September. I've yet to see anybody online confirm they were able to order the Summit Reserve with 4xe yet. It's an Arkansas dealer, but nothing special. Maybe it was the trim you were ordering. I don't know how much it will be, but I assume the 2022 2 row will be similar to in price to the 3 row 2021.
I didn't order a 4Xe, just a summit reserve V8.I thought the same, but my dealership told me that the Summit Reserve with 4xe is not yet available for order. @JeepCares confirmed this. Understood. For whatever reason, it seems Jeep has not opened orders for the 4xe.I didn't order a 4Xe, just a summit reserve V8.
Your first post just asked if anyone placed orders for a WL74. I didn't even notice the second post was yours as well and you were really asking about a 4xe.Understood. For whatever reason, it seems Jeep has not opened orders for the 4xe.
You didn't ask me but I plan on ordering the v8 when available. I have a cherokee v6 currently and the ESS system is very annoying for me so I will avoid it at all costs.@RiseAgainst Curious , what prompted the decision of the Hemi vs the V6?
I am headed to dealership on Wednesday to go over the details of an order with my buddy and at this moment unsure if keeping with the V6 would be enough, if you know what I mean. Currently drive a RAM 2500 6.4 gasser and do love power but, also want to lighten the fuel bills if you will and the HEMI is no different mileage from what I have heard of a RAM 1500 HEMI. 14 city!
I've actually gone back and forth between the Hemi and 4xe. I currently have Ecodiesel and would do it again in a heartbeat if available. I've settled on 4xe for combination of power on highways but fuel economy on my short commute. Before the diesel I had the Hemi and I constantly was at the gas station.@RiseAgainst Curious , what prompted the decision of the Hemi vs the V6?

Definitely some advantages. If the choice was between the rumored inline 6 and the 4xe, it'd be a tougher call. But the mileage on the Hemi is so poor that I can't justify another.Hemi V8---no engine start/stop, no secondary battery and 1,000 more pounds towing capacity.
