I've had that happen a couple times. Basically the uConnect head unit is frozen/crashed. You need to soft-reboot it by pressing the power button until it shuts down/restarts.
As for a more permanent solution... I don't really have anything to offer. They just have to work out the software bugs causing the unit to crash.
