Trailer hitch question

Does anyone know if the limiteds come equipped with a trailer hitch or do you need to add the “trailer tow prep group” to get a trailer hitch? The prep group seems more like a luxury for towing and doesn’t say it adds the hitch
I’m trying to order the L today or tomorrow just want to know if I should add this or not because it’s going to make for a longer wait and I don’t plan to tow anything so it not a big deal I just want to have it so I can tow if need be
Thanks

You should review this with your dealer at the time of order.

Whatever you see in the Build tool won't necessary be available when you go to order.
Few Limited went out with the tow package at the beginning (all included) then it was Tow Prep (no wiring or hitch).
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem the Limited 2022 L coming out of the factory have either Tow prep or package. Nothing.

2022 Overland/Summit V6/V8 all come with the full Tow Package as standard

Thanks for the reply, Yeah my dealer just txted me and said they can’t order it with the trailer tow prep group, I guess that’s alright I’ll just install and aftermarket one

Just be aware that if the truck does not come from the factory with either the Tow Prep or Tow Package, the towing capacity is reduced greatly....It may only be 3500lbs......

If you want to tow, you really should make sure you get the whole package with the hitch. Installing the wiring and hitch after the fact can cost close to $2k, and then you don't have the towing software/cam features nor would you have the auxiliary coolers and so forth that allow for the increased towing capacity.

The trailer tow prep group only needs the hitch and the trailer wiring harness to have the full tow package. The hitch is available last time I checked but the wiring harness is still on backorder.

I went to dealership to purchase GCL that i noticed doesn’t have a tow hitch at all … so ask the dealership to order and install and it takes like 1 week 1/2 to have it ready . Most of altitude / limited doesn’t have included

Is your dealer installing a factory hitch or an aftermarket one? I would ask them that.....The wire harness is supposedly on backorder with no date showing

No. None of the WL's have trailer brakes from the factory. The RedArc unit fits nicely next to the 12v socket in front of the shifter, or you can buy the factory one that replaces the 12 socket. Or you can get a larger one and tack it onto some other trim panel (Tekonsha P3, etc). They all plug into the harness in the left side driver footwell/knee area somewhere.
