2021 L relentless Tom Tom navigation boot loop

Love our 2021 L but have a really annoying issue that makes me want to trade it away. We have never used the built in navigation, we use our phones with CarPlay for nav when needed which is not very often. Regardless if using the FM, Sirius, CarPlay, or even if I leave the screen on the settings menu, the radio will switch to the built in Tom Tom nav and go into an endless boot sequence, it hardly ever fully boots up the map and if it does it will reboot shortly after. It happens totally randomly but probably every few minutes, sometimes every 30 seconds.

The radio recently received an over the air update and I think it made it worse, as it became more frequent after the update. Anyone else have this issue? I suppose I will have to take a day and take it in to the dealer to see if they can do something about it. Was wondering if there is a different update the dealer can do, or reset or something. Like I said we love the vehicle but this is driving us crazy.

For reference for anyone else having this or similar issues. After doing a factory reset through the settings menu on the Uconnect, then going in to the Nav settings and removing all the points of interest (except gas stations) the radio has performed very well. The interface seems to be running smoother and faster, and everything I try works flawlessly, at least for the last few days which has actually had us in the Jeep quite a bit. Saved a trip to the dealer too which is always a good thing.

Happy to report that after a few days and a lot of miles the uconnect system is now working very well. No glitches at all, seems very solid.
