    HUD not showing Speed Limit

Hello everyone. After spending many months investigating this issue, including getting the Virginia Attorney General's office involved, Jeep offered me a full refund ($1,995) for the cost of the Adv Pro Tech Group option. I honestly believe that a class action lawsuit is not too far off given...

    HUD not showing Speed Limit

Update. I have filed a complaint with my states Attorney General's office. They have responded and are in discussions with the dealership. The dealership's operations manager reached out and asked that I stop by to show her what's missing. I did that, and like everyone else that I have dealt...

    HUD not showing Speed Limit

Good luck. I have spent countless hours trying to get to the bottom of this problem including, Speaking with countless people at Jeep Wave, including supervisors. I finally got them to pass along my case to the buyback department. I've had the dealer look at the issue multiple times. Their...

    HUD not showing Speed Limit

Do you have an Overland? I assume you are referring to the Speed Limit showing up intermittently, correct?

    HUD not showing Speed Limit

That's interesting. Speed limit only showing up when the Advanced layout option is selected. According to the owner's manual, Speed Limit should be displayed in ALL the layout options.

Where do I begin? UConnect is a mess and the new Jeep app, what were they thinking?

I spent some time with an inventory manager, the person who understands the build codes associated with building a Jeep. His conclusion was that the Traffic Sign Recognition option, which should have been included in the Advanced ProTech Group III option, has been removed because of the chip...

Where do I begin? UConnect is a mess and the new Jeep app, what were they thinking?

Need to seriously look into the lemon law. During my ride home the other day a message was displayed on the Uconnect screen - Uconnect Box Error. Uconnect Box requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer.

    HUD not showing Speed Limit

What source did the dealer reference to reach such a conclusion? I ask because all of the many sources, multiple dealers, multiple Jeep Care reps, including supervisors, appear to a cursory understanding at best of what's supposed to be displayed in the HUD, in particular the Speed Limit. I am a...

Where do I begin? UConnect is a mess and the new Jeep app, what were they thinking?

In response to "everyone gets the same owner's manual, there is a bunch of stuff in there that doesn't apply to everyone", Yes, that is true, but the owner's manual identifies where the differences exist by prefacing the description with "if applicable". And in my case, no such indication is...

Where do I begin? UConnect is a mess and the new Jeep app, what were they thinking?

I attached two files. The first is the window sticker. I highlighted the option that includes the HUD. The second file includes screen captures from the Jeep.com site, build Overland L, select option Advanced ProTech Group III. Here is what I have learned so far The folks that I have spoken...

    HUD not showing Speed Limit

That's odd. Does our Jeep include sales code SJB? Which I believe is related to the "Sign Recognition" option? Which uses a camera to try and read street signs e.g., no passing zone, school zone, etc. But no one can seem to find where such an option can be selected?

    HUD not showing Speed Limit

What's not listed? The window sticker shows that the Advanced ProTech Group III is included, which means that it has a HUD. And if you read the details about what the HUD can display, the speed limit is but one of many options. In fact, according to my owner's manual, under HUD Display layout...

Where do I begin? UConnect is a mess and the new Jeep app, what were they thinking?

I did and that’s why I bought my Overland with the ProTech Group III option which includes the HUD. I expected to see the speed limit. It wasn’t until I started asking why it wasn’t showing up and hearing that it’s not included in the Overland that caused me to question myself. I’m also missing...

    HUD not showing Speed Limit

I don't believe that is true. As proof, I went to the Jeep site and built my Overland L, and selected the ProTech Group III option which includes the HUD. While viewing the details of what the HUD can display, it includes "Speed Limit".

Where do I begin? UConnect is a mess and the new Jeep app, what were they thinking?

Update. I took a closer look at what the ProTech Group III option includes, which my Jeep has, and it clearly states the following, "The HUD can display speed limit, vehicle speed, turn by turn directions...". Not sure why others believe that this is something that only comes with the Summit.

    HUD not showing Speed Limit

The Overland is supposed to display the speed limit in the HUD and dashboard cluster. For those interested, go to the Jeep.com website and build and Overland L, and select the ProTech Group III option. Take a look at what's included with the HUD. You will see that the posted speed is included...
