I really don’t see the benefit of that the vehicle WiFi. Everyone in my family has their own iPhone and we have an unlimited data plan. We can use any one of those phones as a hotspot if needed.
Oooh, maybe Jeep just said,”forget it, we can’t figure this out…just give the guy access to the data files and tell him to figure it out himself!” Btw, if you figure it out, let us all know! ;-)
The trick is 1 quick kick forward and back. Took me a week to trying until I figured this out. Now it works every time. Also need to have the key fob on you and make sure it’s activated in the Uconnect settings.
There are actually 3 positions. There is one position near the front and two possible locations near the back. I originally installed them at the farthest most points but my Thule didn’t fit right so I had to move the back cross bar in to the closer setting.
I never have to unlock my iPhone for it to connect. It’s been working pretty consistently for a while now. I just get in and it connects in a few seconds.
