This is completely unscientific and all anecdotal BUTI drove a 2022 GC Overland V6 around for about a week when my old car was in the shop and my GC Summit Reserve 4xe is much quicker to me in Hybrid mode. In Electric mode there is a perceptible delay between flooring it and the Engine actually...
We don't have full access to the battery so you will never actually have it fully depleted and even with Battery Save I am not sure there is a way to 100% defeat any electrical assistance. But you will get a better approximation of gas mileage without the benefit of visible electric assistance...
I got an email yesterday that my Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Summit Reserve had arrived at the dealership. Just waiting on financing to wrap up and then I am picking it up.
I ordered a 2022 GC 4xe Summit Reserve through Clutch Auto Broker with a 7.5% discount off MSRP (with FCA Afilliate). The dealer they use in the Southeast is Mark Dodge out of Lake Charles and I think they are solid to deal with; so far really good in my experience minus all of Jeep's delays.
Not a new option for 2023. Released in 2022 for 2022 models. Of course with orders being the way they are, who knows when you would actually get it or if you can get a 2022 model order in with it. But it is available to order on the 2022 GC 4xe Summit and Summit Reserve
Yeah, it is unfortunate but always a danger in a new model year. Adding the chip shortages and everything just makes it worse but across the board it feels like leasing is dying as an affordable option.
My gut says that is simply due to it being pre-production and using parts from current models. The Compass 4xe I drove in Iceland has this exact setup, buttins and all with a locking gas door. They got rid of it on the GC for some reason but it is definitely gone.
The 4xe builder just added the High Altitude Blackout package on the Summit and Summit Reserve. Regular model doesn't have it online yet but probably available to order it that way.
Probably images from a different vehicle. I drove a Compass 4xe in Iceland for 9 days with the locking gas tank and the images look identical to that setup. When building a GC 4xe online the specs have the tank cover listed as Push-Push Fuel Filler Door so the lock is gone.
I wasn't arguing one way or another, simply pointing out that as written these credits have an end. I am not so sure a new bill would replace the current any time soon; They tried that and it got knocked out of the bill. Anything could happen in the future for sure.
True, but I think it is fair to assume different applications will have different needs/specs. Your assumptions is that they will all need to be the same size, shape, capacity, etc but not all applications will require that. For instance a data center may buy used batteries to power their...
One EV point I want to add here is that some of this will come down to what we actually do with degraded batteries. The secondary life of batteries can be quite useful for scenarios for quite a long time before they would be eventually recycled for the elements and used in new EV batteries...
