I think #2 is the brake light, the rear fog lights on cars from oversea would be where #1 is located on U.S. cars. When installed they are basically another set of brake lights on the car. There is a company that makes them for the older Grand Cherokee SRT model.

I had the same problem with GCL. After several calls to Jeep Service I found that the app had changed with the GCL. Find the app with black square backdrop and white lettering "Jeep". Register that and you should be good to go.
