Ours did this as the precursor to having the battery die, leading to the discovery of a bad rear latch.

We may have been the first, second or third GCL Summit that had this issue. Dealer escalated really quickly through their regional Stelantis leadership, especially since the first incident with the dead battery happened within the first three days of ownership, and it visited the dealer 3 times...

We got it back yesterday, so far, working as it should have. Latch was replaced, I can post the work summary. My advice, be patient, understand the part is back ordered, with my situation the dealer was able to escalate, get Stelantis leadership involved, connected me with a retention...

Update. Looks like the part has been released to the parts distribution center. Should be shipping out soon and will have a tracking number.

Same. So are you still driving yours? Is it still draining the battery or are you avoiding it by not opening the back door?

How long did you wait for the part to come in? Also was it just the motor or was there other hardware replaced?

The rear latch is the issue. May be more widespread and not related to the second battery/start stop. Hopefully not, it would be a shame if this were a mass issue. Congrats on your order

Thanks for the update. Crazy that we both have the same issue, dealer called, latch seems to be the issue. Part on back order, like you stated in your post. Escalating the matter to see how soon one can be delivered.

Morning Callandar! Any update from your dealer ? Mine just called, claims the rear latch module is the cause for the batter to drain.

Update. The car spent 5 days with the original dealership after we took delivery of it ( again) yesterday. They replaced both batteries. We drove off and everything went well. Got home. Didn’t drive anywhere. This morning the vehicle failed to start again. This is the third time in less than 14...
