Extended Warranty

Has anyone taken advantage of the extended warranty offered on the Jeep Website as opposed to obtaining one through a dealership? I would like to compare prices but was wondering if this coverage is backed up by Jeep or being offered by a third party. I question the fact that going direct can result in a savings of approximately 50%.

Can you post a link to the offer?

It was not an official quote, I was able to look at the various plans along with selecting the term of the coverage, miles, and deductible. I chose the best plan, "Maximum Care". Unfortunately, I did not save the link but I did find one very similar except that it shows most models but not mine. I will continue to look for the original link and I have included the similar one below. Tomorrow I will call Jeep Customer Care and try to get more information.

Apparently I cannot drag the link here, still learning the rules, so I have typed it in: https://jeepfactorywarranty.com/extended-warranties/

It looks like the link you posted actually is through a dealer. The “contact us” link identifies them as:
AutoStar Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat
280 Hyatt Creek Rd
Waynesville, NC 28786

I have no idea if that’s good, bad, or irrelevant, though it is backed by FCA, so it seems okay to me…

Indigovic, as a result of your response I called Jeep Customer Service, inquired regarding extended warranties and was transferred to their Mopar Division handling this. We can obtain extended warranties directly from them with various policies available and guaranteed to be backed up by Jeep. In my case, I'm too early for this but will get my insurance from Mopar when my vehicle arrives, whenever that might be.

Did you end up getting the warranty? If so, through who? I recently called Mopar and their quote was $500-$600 more than the link you provided. Exact same coverage.

Silver_Jeep, so sorry for not responding sooner, have not been active on this site for some time. Yes, prices can certainly vary. I did get a warranty but not through Mopar. My jeep dealer told me that the Mopar policy was a good one but that service had to be done by a Jeep Dealer. I was told this by two dealers. I ended up purchasing an Allstate Service contract from my Jeep dealer, (Premier Care), for 96 months and for 75,000 miles. More importantly, zero deductible. I have more than one vehicle and spread out the mileage is I wanted the longest term offered. The long term and zero deductible brought the price up significantly, $3,100, but I have peace of mind.
