Who makes the JCL's eLSD?

I think the older models used the Eaton EGerodisc. Do the GCL stick with that or are they using the newer Eaton InfiniTrac or a different company's product?

Im still confused as to how big a deal this is. The Elsd is what shifts power to individual wheels correct? If so would think thats a big miss for Michigan snow!

For 90% of drivers it's going to make zero difference even in the snow. If you are actually going offroad with this thing the eLSD would make a difference. All the other jeep models have the same thing it's Quadra-Drive(eLSD) vs Quadra-Track

ZF is the manufacturer of the eLSD (and probably the other Diffs)

Cool, thank you. I've been trying to understand how the eLSD actually works. Gotta find a teardown of the ZF module now.

Good point…the standard traction control features are more than sufficient for nearly all driving conditions. Hell, my JK’s brake lock diff system surprised guys with fully locked trucks (and I could still steer! 😎) Jeep knows what it’s doing.
