Weird Noise

Hi! I just picked up with GCL Overland yesterday afternoon. I love it but noticed something this morning and I'm trying to determine if it's normal or I should bring it in...

When I approached the car and the electronics kick on from key proximity, a series of off sputtering/clicking noises happen for a good 20 seconds. It seems like its coming from the right rear wheel area. Anyone experienced this? Appreciate it!

Thanks! I watched it closely and it's not lowering so I took it in to dealer. The service manager told me it's the fuel pump that's located by rear wheel wells where noise is coming from. The sputtering is the pump kicking on anticipating a start up. I guess that makes sense but I've also never heard a car do this, especially a 60k+ one. Does anyone else with an Overland hear the same thing?

Is the Fuel Pump "suppose" to be making a noise like this? Like is this something you need to get fixed or is this just a normal thing the GCL does?

They say that how it should operate. I honestly think the car is so new they don't know much yet. Seems odd to me so very curious if they are all doing this.

Thats the fuel pump priming. That is common on most all cars and now with high pressure fuel pumps you my hear it more than before.

Hi Everyone. I was searching through the forums for the words "fuel pump" and saw this thread. Just a FYI, my 2021 GCL Overland V6 stalled and wouldn't restart with just under 1,000 miles on the odometer. Had to have it towed to the nearest dealer and dealer found out that it was wasn't getting fuel. Took them almost a week just to get the new fuel pump and then a day to put it in and after that, it is running fine but just thought I'd share. It was the first GCL that they had at that dealer so it took them a little longer to figure everything out. I also had to feverishly dig through the owner's manual on how to put it in neutral when the tow truck showed up and boy is that weird.

Another possibility, Page 237 in the manual states "The ABS performs a self-check cycle to ensure that the ABS is working properly each time the vehicle is started and driven. During this self-check, you may hear a slight clicking sound as well as some related motor noises."

Glad I found this forum. Was searching for "clicking sound". Every morning I hear it under my V8 Overland and wanted some reassurance that it wasn't a problem
