of course 🙃
They never made the ORG available in the US. It was listed on the configurator for all of '21 and '22 MY, but my dealer has never been able to order it, and I've never seen a single one on Autotrader in 12 months (it would have the 18" wheels on the Overland), and my ERM has never been able to make it happen either, which is why I'm trying to get a SR replacement vehicle, b/c it's been the only way to get the eLSD in the US. And half the time it's been a mandatory SR delete (like it is again now). Otherwise I'd rather have the front tow hooks and the monochromatic black or (now defunct) gray interior. For a while they were shipping Overlands with Quadralift delete, and lots of cars with no rear hitch installed, too, in the US. Supply chain blah blah blah. I've even tried to get in touch with someone at ZF about it, but no luck there.

Meanwhile, in Canada... no problemo, apparently ever?

I can understand, as a lot of the people in the US will never, ever need eLSD, they just 'want' it, but I actually need it where I live, and how I use the car, so I've been trying really hard to get it on the next one.

Why anybody wastes their time reply or listening to Jake is beyond me. Use the "Ignore" feature. He's just a forum troll who thinks he's funny and knowledgable but HE IS NOT. 90% of the crap he posts, he pulls off the internet just to get a response and you guys fall for it.
As for the OP, I was told by my dealer that the V8's were indeed going to be obsolete in 2023 and that getting one in 2022 was likely not gonna be possible either. I was waiting for this option but eventually went with the V6 when they told me this. I hope it bites Jeep in the ass.

Yeah, I get it. We all knew the V8 would go away, but I didn't expect it to happen at all before an announcement for the Hurricane took place. Since it's replacing the V8, it's possible they have to stop production to retool for the turbo motor. I would think they would save the Hurricane production start for the '24 model year and maybe make a few cosmetic tweaks to the car at the same time, but supply chains and manufacturing are still a mess, so who knows. I was expecting V8 production to continue through winter, though, if the Hurricane doesn't launch until next August or September.

Is that why you're "Waiting"?

It was. But when I learned I might be waiting forever for something that would likely never come along and even if it did, might be a problem getting proper servicing and parts because there was such a limited number produced, I compromised and went with the V6.
