V8 Hemi no longer available on the configurator for 3 row or 2 row.

Hurricane coming soon? I sure hope so. The US configurator is now V6 only for the 3 row in all trims.

It's still on the Canadian site, but they get all the good stuff anyway (eLSD, Overland with Off Road Group, etc)

Dodge announced Hurricane crate motors yesterday, 11/1, also. Might be soon. I hope so.

according to who?
You.

No one has ever been able to buy an Overland with the Off Road Group in the US, for instance. I couldn’t even get it in eight months with the executive ‘fixer’.

You’re still getting Summits with eLSDs, we’re not.

You’re still able to order V8’s, not sure what else…

You bin blowin' buyback smoke out yer whiny ass for 11 months. 🤣
8 months to get a replacement... It has to be some kind of record. Admittedly, I was being patient trying to get the illusive eLSD and Midnight Sky, but it was not a well-managed process. I could have had that months ago, but rather than press I was also hoping for the twin turbo, too. I'm not sure I'll end up with any of it, in the end 🙄

NBD though, as I'll trade the V8 for a Hurricane soon enough anyway, and the V8 should hold its value well for a short period as a 'near new' car. I wouldn't call it whiny, though. When you buy one of these in the upper trim levels, and have an insane number of problems, and every day is an electrical surprise... it's worth reporting. My car is possessed. It's probably a harness or connector problem causing it all, which would be really hard to identify. I hope the next one works right. I'll accept a few problems, but not a new one every week, with little ever solved. Compounding, confounding problems are not fun after throwing that much money at something.

I guess the slogan ”Less is More” is alive and well at Jeep. They just took another price hike. The new base price of the SR is closing in on $71K now.

Jake is right that you shouldn’t take everything the build tool says as fact—it frequently offers configurations that can’t actually be ordered while also failing to show options that can be ordered.

I suspect that if you really can no longer order the V8 in the US, you most likely can’t order it in Canada either, but the only way to know for sure is to have a dealer check the actual ordering system in each country.

I won‘t believe the Overland can be ordered with the Off-Road group in any country until someone provides evidence that Jeep has accepted an actual order for it.

Jake posted this the other day.

What Jake's posting are things already built. The current US situation is: no one can order a V8 unless the dealer has an existing allocation for one (hopefully), and eLSD's are mandatory delete status. I'm trying to get an SR V8 with the eLSD via the corporate 'fixer', and I should know next week if he can make that happen.

I was able to 'order' a V8 on Thursday, but only because my dealer still had an allocation slot. I'm not yet sure if it will go through, and the order sheet showed eLSD as 'delete'.

That said, Canada has recently been able to order Overlands with the Off Road Group, which has never been allowed in the US, even though it was 'available' on the configurator. Bottom line, the configurator is not reliable, except that it seems if you can't get something on the configurator, you can't get it otherwise from the dealer.

I'm just hoping the V8 aspect of my order went through. My dealer said they've been having trouble ordering V8s for a while. By dumb luck, they had one more V8 Summit allocation when I placed my order, but it wouldn't allow Midnight Sky, Baltic Gray or Hydro Blue as order colors WITH the V8, which is odd. The whole system seems like a mess to me, after following it pretty closely for the last 8+ months.

FWIW, these are the first 'real' photo of a Midnight Sky SR I've ever seen. I think it might actually look better without the High Altitude package...
