I called my dealer this morning for my weekly update, and he told me he was just notified that the grand Cherokees were being released for shipment on May 24. I asked how long he thought it would take to get to our location (Ohio) and he said he was estimating up to four weeks. That seems excessive coming from Detroit which is just a few hours drive. But they will be making a bunch of deliveries so maybe that’s realistic?

Right now there is a lot of software bugs they are trying to fix because they want the roll out to be smooth compared to other recently released vehicles. The new WL is an important launch.
Well, you are providing way more information than what Jeep is doing. Keeping the dealers and customers in the dark helps in no way. They could come clean with the reason of the delays and while many won’t like it, is still better than silence.

I actually got a phone call from a rep at Chrysler and he said my GCL (current status JB) was having the sunroof installed and Mopar finishing package put on and I should see my vehicle delivered by June 15-20. Hope that helps

My dealer is the company I work for so I prefer to keep into private. It’s in Missouri and no photos on website yet. I talked with the sales person today and my car is finished, passed inspection and everything. So it’s in storage until they can be shipped out. I’m excited!

Seriously. I'm dying to see one, even looked at flights to fly to these auto shows but couldn't make it work. I really want to see in person before I order, I don't want to pick the wrong interior or trim level and wish I did it differently, but I'm also so ready to order it!
