Unbelievably loud HVAC system

Is it just my 2021 Jeep GC L that has a crazy loud HVAC system? I literally have to turn the volume up to about 20 just to not hear it on a low setting.

When on Auto it seems to get worse by the dash by the windshield. It is so crazy loud that you can barely talk to someone in the car next to you.

I came out of a 2018 Durango RT and I could have the HVAC on full blast and barely hear it and still talk to people while it was warming up in the cold.

If this is not a warrantable or repairable issue, I feel like I just got took for 50k for a sound machine.

The fan for the rear is still in the dash. It's just duct work to get it into the rear areas.
I will definitely check that out in the morning. Many thanks. I searched all over the web and the forums and couldn't find an answer to it. Seriously thank you. I hope that is all it is cause it was driving me nuts.

But still in general I agree the hvac is louder than other cars.

And the systems incessant need to blast the windshield defroster for 10 minutes every time I drive somewhere is annoying. It automatically assumes I need it so the first ten minutes of the drive are loud then it quits down.

As was described above you have to make sure the rear is 8n sync with the front otherwise the rear can be blowing even high the front has calmed down...but the fan is still in the dash so you hear it as noise from the dash.

Mine is not loud until you put it on full speed (7). I have a litany of problems with my HVAC system, though (almost no air comes out the second row center vents even on high, the center console gets hot, it doesn't defrost the windows (fog builds) unless you turn it on 'max defrost', there's weird cold air circulating around the cabin even set at 75 degrees, the floor vents put out cold air even when set to warm, etc.
