Thoughts on the WL74 ??

Could care less about the 4xE. As I expected, everything has gotten vastly more expensive - V8 is only available on Overland and above trim level.

I paid $42K for my WK2 with a V8, and for a similarly appointed WL74 with a V8, it will probably be $50K.

I'm in for the two-row Summit Reserve, non 4xe, and think it looks absolutely killer. It's just the right balance of size front and rear - it's gorgeous. I've got a 2014 Summit that I've had since new and said I would wait for the redesign...well, 7.5 years later, here it is. And my Summit has gone up in trade-in value since even 2 years ago.

Just waiting for order banks and pricing information to become available. My dealer Criswell in Gaithersburg was offering up to 7% off invoice for the Ls, so I'm hoping they'll extend the same discount to the two-row once order banks open fully.

I'm just realizing that they had 2 Trailhawk 4xe's there in the reveal, couldn't they have introduced another model? It's not looking good for the Trackhawk right now.

i bought mine at criswell. do you mean 7% off msrp? that’s what i got, roughly. But they play funny math, because the add another 1695 in freight back into that discounted price. I found that’s pretty standard operating procedure at all the dealers right now. So really ends up being like 3% off the sticker.

When pressed they all point to the fine print of the website that says discounted prices do not include freight. i even walked out on criswell when they wouldn’t budge, and they let me go. They eventually threw in a few freebies like wheel locks and mud flaps. And i really wanted the car so caved.

Looks as expected, which is good, its certainly sporty in comparison to the L, but I really feel the L looks more upmarket, its kind of like a Range Rover vs a Ranger Rover sport.

Thats a good comparison, I think the WL74 is more adventure and sporty looking. WL75 more robust and executive style.
Each looks right for their target audience.

I do wish I had waited a bit for the GC instead of the GCL. When I bought mine, the best info I could get was 2022 for the GC and I wanted something for the winter, having driven a rwd sports car to MT. I think they nailed the look with the GC. I would pick the V8 Trailhawk over my fully loaded GLC limited with tow/lux II option packs. The V6 is fine around town, but a bit weak on overall power. If build quality holds up, I will probably trade for a GC in a few years.

That's exactly why I waited - i think the L just looks a little too L. They really did nail the look with the two-row.

When I bought my JLUR (Wrangler Rubicon) this time last year, I got 7% off invoice, not MSRP. It was about 12% off MSRP. I just emailed my sales rep for pricing information on the two-row (which he doesn't yet have) and he sent me this -

"We are current saving customer up to 7% below invoice, sale promotion ends on 9/30/2021 ar 6 pm ( no exception) FCA Affiliates, EP & CDI also ends 9/30 the following vehicles:
.
Grand Cherokee [2021 models]
Grand Cherokee L
Wrangler / Wrangler Unlimited
Dodge Durango
RAM Light Duty"

Now when they say up to 7%, I'm sure they mean that they'll only give you 5% off unless you use their financing. I used theirs and then refi'd a couple of months later when I bought my Wrangler. As you can see, it says the discounts expire today (9/30), but I'm hoping they'll have new incentives soon. And if they don't, I'm willing to wait a bit. I've still got my Wrangler and my 2014 GC Summit which I still love.

Who is your sales rep at Criswell? I need to find a good rep to work with. Thanks!

On 2 January 2022, I plan to order a Trailhawk with V8 Hemi and standard full metal roof. Finally a standard V8 (no eTorque) and no standard sunroof----take my money!!!
